451. additional ingredient

Rant of the day: Tomorrow is the day! I'm so nervous!

I think my house is infested with ants everywhere! But the thing is you don't know where they hide and where the heck is their nest. I see them running around at my wardrobe. I see them on my computer desk. I see them on the floor. I see them on the wall. But the nightmare is -- seeing them in your breakfast!

Ok, that was yesterday's breakfast. Mum bought 3 delicious muffins from Tanjong Pagar. Haven't had them for ages. So, poured myself a glass of milk as usual and grabbed a chocolate chip muffin. It was so nice that I have to grab another one. So I peered into the bag and to my horror, the bag was filled with ants and the other 2 muffins have ants all over! Ok, so I not only had a glass of milk and chocolate chip muffin, I also had alot of ants "proteins" for breakfast! How's that? Down goes the rest of the muffins and ants to the rubbish chute. Gross!!!

What a way to start your meal. Haha...

But luckily, that was yesterday's breakfast. Today's bread and jam was perfect. Well, at least I don't get additional ingredients in it.

Anyway, I've already bought what I will need for tomorrow. Let's hope and pray that things will go well. My supporters strength going down because of distance. Oh well, what to do?

450. coming soon

Rant of the day: The weather seems odd today.

It's just a couple more days to the 93.3FM DJ Search semi-finals. Stress? You bet! But I really don't know what to really prepare. Morning seems to be written test. Topics? Format? I have totally no-eye-deer! MCQ? I'm really pray for this. Fill in the blanks? I'll die man. I can do this. Compo? Probably not right? Duration? Hopefully not like 'O'-Levels.

Afternoon is stage test. What are they going to ask? I still need to do self-intro again right? Do I need to perform? No topics. No format. Everything under the sun! "Be natural. Be yourself. Smile." But I will definitely be nervous when I'm on stage! So many of the contestants are so experienced with stage pressence. For me, almost a big ZERO! My mind betta not go blank when I'm on stage.

I feel like I'm going through 'O'-Levels again. Written test. Oral test. But this time with ALOT of public eyes looking at you doing the tests.

So how to prepare? Read news. Read magazines. Listen to broadcast. Practise self-intro again. Think it might help. Think on what to wear for semi. Too formal? Looks like poly projects presentation. Too casual? Looks like I'm going to market. Too loud? Afraid that I might look like a clown. Too plain? Doesn't suit the competition. I'm going through fashion magazines one after another. Ok, I've got a rough idea on what to wear but hopefully it doesn't turn out bad. I don't need to make-up right? *crossing fingers*

1/5 chances to finals. 10 out of 50 will move onto finals in June. Will I make the cut? I really hope so too.

Wait... Do I need to bring my stationary for the written test? Pen at least?

449. ikea

Rant of the day: My legs are still aching...

Spent half of yesterday at Ikea Megastore with mum. Yeap, we were sourcing for new bed frames and mattresses and what ever other barang barang bargains we can get.

Not only furnitures are good at Ikea, their food are superb too! Love their meatballs. It has a lil taste of spices mixed amongst their meat. Yummy!

Mum is happy with all the things she had bought! And of course, the free 2 years membership with Ikea! Which means we can have 2 free drinks everytime we pay them a visit! It's a life saver when you are like walking for 4 hours in their stores.

Somehow, I feel that I'm not in Singapore when you are standing in the centre of all 3 megastores.

Now, this is freaking funny man! And what's with the red tights dude? Not itchy meh?

448. zoo trip

Side-track: Yeah! I've got a new bed frame!

Zoo trip was fun man! I can't remember when was my last time there but this time, it's so fun! A lil too warm for comfort though but as long as you brought enough water, it shouldn't be a problem. Bring some homemade food too. You wouldn't want to spend there. Thrust me...

Here we are at the entrance. Looks like they've done some make-overs.

Nice tickets too! Think they might make good collectibles.

After some twists and turns, I've got "chased" by some weird tribal men! I quickly hid myself amongst some statues. Spot me!

"Are you up in the tree?", says the monkey.

"Don't ask us! We're lost too!", screamed the otters.

"You might be in my food container.", searched the squirrels.

"I'm busy la. Don't bother me.", nagged the elephant.

"Want to hide in my mouth?", grinned the crocs.

"I think my pouch might be safer." The kangaroo suggested.

"I think you are the second from the right.", said the polar bear.

"I think I saw you, human..." The cheetah stared.

"Hey! Same colour as us!" The zebras smiled.

"Me too, but don't talk to me. I'm sleepy.", yawned the white tigers.

"Why don't you hide yourself in a huge shell like me?", asked the gianted tortise.

"No. I think I can protect him best." Yup, that's my girl! Muacks!

Ok, not so funny I guess but do make a trip down to the Zoo and enjoy some fresh air. They are going to send the only polar bear out once it's mother pass away. She's already 30 years old this year. Way past the average of 25 years. Our Zoo is going to change to a tropics zoological garden. So, we might never see penguins and sea lions again too.

Save the wildlife. Many animals are near extinction and if we don't save them, who will? Poachers? You must be joking... So start by reducing global warming! Spread the message!

447. fat burning day

Rant of the day: I'm so tired...

I think I haven't been travelling so much by foot since BMT route march.

Had walked with mum from home to Bishan Park for a 1 large round jog. Sweat like crazy and the sun ain't exactly friendly today. After that, walked home again.

Then, went down to fetch dear after work and walked out to the nearest bus stop to take service 72 to Hougang Central for lunch. Sushi was fantastic at Ichiban Sushi. Something new and DIFFERENT from Sakae Sushi. Very different...

Walked around a lil more Hougang Mall to buy some stuff for sandwich ingredients. Dear's preparing a sumptous sandwich meal for tomorrow's Zoo trip. After that, walked back dear's place.

Things don't end here. We had a major washing up to do with Boy Boy. Have to wash him up before bringing him to my place. He stinks!

Strolled Boy Boy and with dear by my side, we went all the way from dear's place to my home. Sun was still menacing and in just a short while, we were all practically "cooked". This trip took more then an hour.

Reached home. Gosh... Rest awaits. Dinner served. It was mum's Hainanese Chicken Rice! Woohoo! Delicious but my legs are already aching. Stuck to TV till 9pm before another round of walking comes.

Yes, we strolled Boy Boy back to dear's place. He's shagged out but so are we. I'm not walking home man! Bus trip...

Gosh, I feel like I've just done a day of TNP Big Walk! Guess what? We have more walking to do tomorrow at Zoo! Let's just hope the sun will be friendly tomorrow...

446. results

Rant of the day: 妞妞好像在发情期……

Up comes the webby.

Where is the result?

Ok, here goes... Don't think too much. I didn't perform well that day.

How come that name seems so familiar?

Oh my gawd! I'm in Top 50 list for the Y.E.S 93.3 DJ Search Competition! I can't believe my eyes when I saw the result released on 93.3 official webby. Wanna see for yourselves? Click here and then click on "50强名单出炉". And my name is there! All names in Chinese so if you don't know my name, is "林威". Ok, 1 week to practise for the finals on 22/4/07 at IMM. I must not be nervous this time round. Must gambatte!

I'm always welcoming all who wish to support me on that day! Heehee. Banners are welcome too. Haha. Anyway, it's on 22/4/07, a Sunday at around 10am at IMM. Oh shucks, I need to think what to wear on that day! What to prepare? What will they ask this time round? I'm so lost... Breathe Eric, BREATHE...

Anyway, it's a pretty busy week this week. Lotsa small small events going on. BBQ on Wednesday at dear's place with Angela and Li Keng. We had lotsa fun and FOOD! Eat until I wanna puke. Haha. Too much food le! But it was alot of fun with all these gals around.

Guess what, I've got another BBQ later this evening at Downtown East. It's Elaine's birthday! Happy birthday gal! But too bad that my dear can't go with me. She's down with flu. Take care ok my dear. Must drink more water and rest more too. Weather isn't good this few days. It's been unpredictable, so must take care of your body ok? Promise...

445. holding hands

Rant of the day: Weather don't seems nice to me...

Saw this adorable clip from Blackathy's blog. You will simply go "awwwww" inside...

Awwwwwww, so sweet right? These are otters at Vancouver Aquarium. They are holding hands! So cute! This makes me wanna go zoo. Dear, shall we?

BBQ tonight at dear's place but the weather just seem so menacing...

444. meet the robinsons

Quote of the day: Keep moving forward.

Many of my age might not like cartoons and animations on the big screens, but so happens that I'm a BIG fan of such movies! Can't remember when it exactly started but definitely when I'm still a young kid.

Till today, I still can't resist the temptation of buying tickets to animated movies. Just came back after watching Meet The Robinsons. Dreaming of going to the future? Thinking of how things will work out in the future? What about travelling back to the past? Let's just remains all these as dreams and let nature takes it course.

It's actually a pretty touching story about an orphan, whom was being abandoned by his mother when he's still a baby. A young and innovative inventor, he created many messes which led to many headaches by the peps around. By the age of 12, he was still unable to be adopted. Just an unsuspecting baddie and a young boy from the future changed his life.

So, take a good look around you and start to appreciate. Cherish every moments of your life for you might not know what will happen in the future...

Anyway, BBQ on both Wednesday and Friday. Gawd! I feel fat! But who cares? Haha.

443. spring or summer

Rant of the day: I'm so fat...

Is it still spring in Singapore or has it turned summer? Well, had asked dear yesterday while we were doing our window shopping. Actually, it's both spring AND summer. Most of the stores are changing their stocks to spring/summer collection. It seems that there are some changes in the colours for tops in this month. They had removed the pink series and right now is the season for blue for ladies and either white or green for guys.

We were so desperately looking for Pizza Hut yesterday when we realized that there's only one in Plaza Singapura! But their pizzas are not too bad. Maybe is that we haven't had pizzas from them for quite sometime. But their wings are still delicious as usual. Good thing about the service at this outlet is that they provide commendable service.

I'm still jobless and not-so desperately looking for jobs. Taking my time but if anyone would like to recommend any office hour job, please email or MSN me. Heehee...

Rant of the day: I'm so disappointed.

Rant of the day: It's super scorching man! So hot...

Let's move on 吧!加油!

440. homework

Rant of the day: I just couldn't get my lazy butt to run.

I've wrote my self-introduction script for this coming Saturday's audition. No matter how I read them out, it just feel so boring. Gosh. What to change?

Also, I've done some homework by imagining myself as the judge and what will you ask the contestants. Gracias to Angela for giving me extra questions to get myself more prepared. I'm trying to be saying out those stuff that I've wrote in a more relax method, rather then feeling like reading scripts. I've got to be relax.

Just hope that everything goes well on coming Saturday at Plaza Singapura.

Rant of the day: What a rainy day! One downpour after another...

438. shopping

Quote of the day: Nobody is perfect. I'm nobody.

It's raining cats and dogs now and comes with thunder and lightning. So peps, please be careful when outside. Run for shelters.

Luckily, yesterday evening wasn't like this. Dear and I had done some serious shopping yesterday at Bugis Street. I bought a total of 2 tees, a shirt and a pendant which comes free with the shirt. All cost me in total $33. I'm not joking, it is $33! The tees were going at $15 for 2. Think they are going to change the collection series. So, bought one for me and one for lil brother as a farewell gift, since he is leaving for Brunei for 6 months. The shirt, together with a dog-tag shaped pendant, caught dear's eye while we were walking pass a shop. The guy promised to give us the pendant for free if we buy the shirt that was only going for $18. Quite a bargain right? But I will not get the pendant free without dear with me. Gals power with male sales personnel. Haha...

Dear bought alot more then just these. I think she spent almost $80 but for ALOT of stuff! She bought 3 pairs of stylish earrings for a mere $5 and 2 brightly coloured bangles at $3 each. Grabbed a cool sling bag for clubbing at only $10 and honestly, it is pretty nicely finished. 2 tees with funny prints at $20. A make-up pouch with embossed prints at $4.90. Last but not least, a new arrival blue top at slightly higher price of $34 after some bargaining. We didn't go for more bargaining as stocks just arrived yesterday. Paiseh la. So all these at under $80! We done some brief calculation, if we got all these from town, it will cost her at least $130. Ouch!

Bugis Street, still the best bargain heaven...

Ok, that's a long time since I've last shop for myself seriously. I've been buying stuff but not for myself, so it's been a rare day where dear saw me buying clothes for myself. Haha. But as it's so cheap to resist, might as well... Oops =x

From papers, there was another round of huge waves at somewhere near Australia. Tsunami attacks again. The globe is changing. I can't imagine if tsunami ever hits Singapore! We WILL all be drowned. There's no place to run! What? Bukit Timah? But what's lucky is that we are quite nicely covered by our neighbouring countries. So chances are minimal.

437. unpredictable weather

Rant of the day: Why I can't login MapleSea?

The weather this few days are super cranky and unpredictable. Scorching for the entire morning and then sudden downpour. Temperature rises and drops like stocks and shares. Alot of field trips cannot go as planned. Like yesterday, swimming was being pushed back to a later timing because of a morning rain. Zoo trip have to be cancelled as timing isn't right.

Is it April Fool's joke by heaven?

So what to do since weather is like this? Shopping in malls of course! Rain or shine, it's a perfect shelter. Dear managed to get her gym ball. Also, another pair of Charles and Keith shoes. I came home without purchase but not empty-handed. I had a copy of Juice magazine! Haha. No job = no money = no purchase. Sobz. We met up with Arina on the later part of the evening after dinner to have another round of shopping.

I'm planning on what to say on the coming DJ audition this Saturday. Getting a lil nervous but still manageable. I'm also not sure on how will the audition be conducted. Outdoor stage? Indoor room? What do I have to do or say? Do I need to perform? It's so not like singing competition where you know what to prepare for. Just practise either in bathroom or KTV room. I'm abit lost on what to do. I'm going to adapt the go and see at the early part of the audition day to see how is it being conducted and get myself prepare on the spot. Which means, I'll need to reach there early. Will there be a long queue like Project Superstar?

Crossing my fingers and hope I can pass through the audition. Pray for me too ok?

BBQ on Wednesday at dear's place was cancelled also. Not by dear but her dad. Some temple trips for her I suppose. Oh well, we can always have other days for BBQ.

Saw this awesome clip from YouTube. The drawing was done on a MS Paint! Oh my goodness! Crazy! Try it if you can...
