Rant of the day: Expo seriously need a good and high multi-storey carpark!!!

几经波折，我终于毕业了。过去的两年半时充满着喜怒哀乐的。有很多很多的美好回忆，也有很多很多懊恼的事。不过到最后，我还是挨过了这漫长的日子。

熬夜赶工……考试担忧……废寝忘食……聚少离多……

毕业，也就是人生故事里的一个句点。但这也代表了人生故事里的另一片单元的起点。我人生的新篇章就要开始了！请拭目以待！

1096. 一句“算了”

Rant of the day: 虽然用意是好的，但我无法完全的苟同。

好一句“算了”。

那我也就“算了”……因为真的，关我的屁事！反正说了也只不过换来一句“算了”。那就“算了”吧。我ok的。

1095. worn out

Rant of the day: 1 more working day...

I'm mentally tired. Worn out in fact. Work now is soooooooo "taxing" (working in the right board is like this). Last year's nightmare is back for me to clear. With so much work on hand that I can't complete, the reservist starting from coming Monday for 2 weeks ain't helping. I can't imagine the amount of leftovers when I'm back in office.

Can't get a deferment from reservist as my injury ain't that serious to warrant that. But at least I managed to get excuse from all activities that requires physical training involving my legs! Not bad. And I don't need to put on boots too since wearing them will hinder my recovery. Hopefully my injured ankle survives the 2 weeks in camp. Hahaha... I'll be grateful if the condition does not worsen.

Dear's birthday approaching. What should I do/get this year? I cooked for her last year and I don't think I should do the cooking... You get what I mean...

Anyway, haven't been taking photos of Deric. Here's one... "Gimme food and I'll give you peace..."

1094. baby dawn

Rant of the day: So sad... It's gonna be Monday soon. =(

These are the rare few moments where I carry an infant!!! I'm always fearful of carrying infants 'cause I'm scared of dropping them on the floor. I'm quite a butter-finger ya know... =P

Say cheese!!! Awwwwww... Baby Dawn was sleeping. Think my "king koil" arms are way too comfortable. *yawn*

Congrats to Huey Weng and Chien Yong! Your baby Dawn is soooooo cute!!!

Anyway, the first month celebration was like Childrens' Day. Almost everyone brought their kids along. So I think only Rex, Fang Ying and I don't have any. We still young ok!!!

I still kor kor!!! Hahahaha...

1093. i'm back

Rant of the day: The medical centre in my camp damn fark up... Seriously...

I've been back in Singapore for a few days already after the Hong Kong trip but had been procrastinating on blogging the stuff. Quite a number of photos taken and pretty lazy to put them up on this post. If you have my Facebook account, do get it there instead.

Probably put up my favourite photo from the trip. It's my first time to a Disneyland!!! Lovin' the back drop.

Just a few things from this trip:

1. Wrong timing. It's the China and Hong Kong summer vacation. So there are lots and lots of visitors to many of the places we are visiting. And not that I'm being racist or what... I have nothing against the mainland peeps but they are seriously rowdy and rude. Bad bad experiences with them when we were at Disneyland.

2. Since it's summer vacation period, meaning, it's summer time! Blardy hot, humid and the sun was scorching!!! The moment we stepped out of the hotel, I'll start to sweat!!! Dear and I were almost cooked to perfection. I prefer medium rare leh...

3. Hong Kong has got pretty bad air quality. Fog... Fog... And more fog... It's like the foggy period in Singapore when Indonesia is burning up! But the thing is, in Hong Kong, it's on a daily basis (at least for the past 4 days when we were there). Luckily dear and I ain't asthmatic.

4. It's a pretty expensive place to go. By day 2, we had exhausted and even over-spent our planned expenses for the 1st and 2nd day!!! And we didn't even visit any high class restaurants lor!!!

5. Their buildings in Hong Kong are seriously old. I felt like I'm visiting Singapore in the 60s. Gawd...

6. Their dim sum is good. And there's this particular dim sum house (一点心) that serves extremely good dim sum at affordable prices! Must try their har gao (虾饺). Damn nice lah!!! Go google it if you wanna find out more about this place.

7. Hit up Granville Road if you are looking for slightly more affordable (as compared to their shopping malls) trendy clothes and accessories.

8. We found Food Republic food court at the Citygate Mall!!! The same food court we have at Vivocity. But their food is more localised. Like what we learnt in class, glocalisation...

9. Their Wife Biscuit (老婆饼) is heavenly!!! Get those from Wing Hwa!!! They have an outlet in Hong Kong International Airport. So it's easy for you when departing the airport for home. Grab and go.

Will I go back to Hong Kong? Hmmmmmmm... Lemme think about it. I didn't enjoy as much as I was when I went Taiwan. Thinking of somewhere not so expensive for my next trip. I still haven't got the chance to visit Myanmar and Vietnam but I got a strong feeling that dear wouldn't wanna go to these places. What about a long Star Cruise trip? I haven't board the large vessel too!

1092. in less than 8hrs

Rant of the day: Tired... But excited...

In less than 8 hours, I'll be on my flight with dear to Hong Kong!!!

But before that, settled the units to select for my BTO selection tomorrow. And on the other note, VERY VERY RIGID AND INFLEXIBLE OF AGE DEE BEE!!! After understanding the situation that dear and I faced, they practically say they can't help us except to get someone authorised to select on our behalf. No doubt the officer was pretty nice but the alternative offered ISN'T EXACTLY AN ALTERNATIVE!!! All these troubles are caused by the board and I do feel exception handling by the officer is required.

But all she say is "even if the CEO also cannot help to make this special arrangement you are requesting for."

Alright... So since the CEO of AGE DEE BEE cannot even make this decision to help buyers, than I strongly believe the minister should be able to decide.

In any event, after the payment made, the decision makers will get my email.

And for now, I can finally relax and go for my trip. Go through the things we need:

Air tickets... check!

Hotel booking... check!

Disney entrance tickets... check!

Passports... check!

Itnerary... check!

Currency... check!

Clothes... check!

Spare baggages... check!

iPhone charger... to be pack tomorrow morning.

Camera and charger... check!

Toiletries... left my toothbrush.

Sunglasses... in my car!!! Shit... must remember to bring.

More or less, I'm done. But dear haven't start packing because of her tight schedule and she's back home packing now. Jiayou baby!

Rant of the day: Tired... And it's only a Monday... FML~~~

我们还是没办法达到完全的共识。不过言之过早。就如dear说的，走一步、算一步。等到星期三再说吧。现在还是专心地想一想去香港的行李要带什么……

1090. tired

Rant of the day: Another week past...

I think I'm falling sick... Been feeling weak for the past few days but just not letting peeps know. Perhaps due to the unpredictable weather. Suddenly very cold. Suddenly very hot.

Anyway, about 6 more days to Hong Kong but the weird thing is I'm not getting the hype. Maybe too many things going on in office and out-of-office. For example the flat selection thingy... Check feng shui (风水). Check palmistry. Check this. Check that. And it doesn't help when dear is OVER excited about the flat thingy.

*sigh*

Tiring process but don't get me wrong. Not that I don't enjoy the selection process with dear but rather, all these hype and selection work are taking a toll off me mentally.

Then on the graduation day. Regalia rental and collection. Guest tickets. ICT crashes with graduation. Need to plan on the arrangement. So much work just to graduate. Aiyoh...

Only exchanged for HK$ yesterday and I haven't start packing. Haven't buy travel insurance too. Dear keep assuring me on the travel insurance thingy but no actions from her side leh. So is she buying or not? Sian lah...

Rant of the day: Exchange rate for HK$ not bad leh...

结婚本来是两个人的事。Keyword是“本来”。结婚也不是两家人的事了。而是两家人 + 展现/表现面子的事。我还没结婚就一大堆的压力。真的不敢想象结婚后天空会是怎样。钱钱钱……我也知道我赚得不多，但很多东西不是我自己想、我说就算。

我也很想找便宜的求婚戒指……得体像样就好。

我也很想找便宜的四点金……简单典雅就好。（反正又不会拿来带在身上）

我也很想找便宜的酒店举办喜宴……体面大方就好。

我也很想找便宜的婚纱像馆……哪儿里拍不重要，把夫妻拍得好看就好。

我很想很想很想budget budget budget……我也知道我钱包能力有限……

谁不想？？？

要面子，就很难便宜。但是我这样想并不代表另一半也这么想。她有她的想法要求。我有我的看法定限。而Mother，你再这样给我一大堆的压力，我迟早会有婚姻恐惧症啊！！！到时后，我压力过大，突然不要结婚怎么办？

又会有谁了解我现在的痛苦？想找人倾诉又不知该找谁好……

PS：有时候会想如果另一半是没有要求的女人多好。也许压力会减少许多。

1088. i need 6 months... at least...

Joy of the day: BTO booklet is here!!!

Doctor says...

Your bones are healing well. But the swell is probably due to a torn ligament. This will take roughly 6 months to heal. Might be shorter. Might be longer. Depends...

*sigh*

6 months... That is a long period to get my ankle healed. And, I need to do physiotherapy. This sucks as well. But on a brighter note, I'm excused from IPPT for this window. At least I can rest assured that my ankle get some good rest from strenuous exercises.

I like this doctor. Same doctor that attended to me on my first medical review. Though he didn't smile. But at least he don't ask stupid questions and he take serious examination on my ankle and the x-ray films.

And yes, when he talks to me, he look at me! Unlike Dr. Andrew who reviewed my case on the last visit. The previous doctor was literally talking to my x-ray films. I didn't know those films response to his questions.

1087. ups and downs

Rant of the day: So tired...

Things recently are moving like a roller coaster. Ups and downs.

Me nominated and awarded (should be I think) the Excellent Service Award, Gold Award. =)

Confirming and finalizing my trip for Hong Kong (yippeeee). =)

Got the selection date for my house (double yippeeee). =)

Know the date for my convocation (oh finally). =)

People tendering (though it didn't came as a surprise). =(

Got my car buang and the boot was in bad shape (repaired already and no injuries). =(

2 job applications got rejected (so sad that they didn't even give me the chance for an interview). =(

Flat selection came earlier than expected and have not gotten the queue number for the waterway BTO! =(

Having issues with the flat selection date (extremely extremely upset about this). =(

Glad... But at the same time, upset... Can there be fewer downs? Moreover, the downs are hitting me pretty hard. *sigh*

1086. 购物气闻

Rant of the day: Don't take customer service too much for granted.

好久没有po了。想我吗？哈哈……

元归正传。刚才和dear在义安城 (Ngee Ann City) 光解释，碰到一个令人咋舌的气闻。就在Armani Exchange (AX) 里，dear正在更衣间试穿裙子。在她的对间是一名中国auntie，年约35岁至40岁左右。而陪同的是位本地uncle，大概50几岁了吧。

不知道他们在店里试穿了多久，不过很明显的是他们肯定待了好一下子。因为她的更衣室里，满地都是试穿的衣服。突然听到他们一直在谈论说服务员有多么的“不周到”，“手脚很慢”，“cutting很烂”等等类似的东西。原本不以为然，以为又是typical的购物牢骚。谁知道，当那位auntie在更换的时候，那位uncle很突兀的向更衣间里的一名打工小弟说，“Your staff here all dunno how to smile one ah?”

[打工而已吗……卖笑meh？你又还没有买到任何东西，笑个屁啊？]

那位小弟当然不知道该怎样回答。年龄小，有没有工作经验，哪儿会处理难缠的顾客？看那小弟默默无言，那名uncle就继续发飙。直道有名叫senior的职员来帮忙。但是似乎没有什么帮助。那名uncle就继续以complain的方式恐吓店员，然后又在店里大呼小叫的，像个疯子似的。后来还出口成“脏”，蛮不讲理又没风度。野蛮人指数100%！！！

老实说，搞了蛮久的但是我最终不知道他发飙的目的。是为了要在他那“年轻”的中国妞面前显得“有钱”，有能力“大声”？还是头脑有问题？不然就是更年期？

大声了那么久，却半件衣服都没买，还有什么权力“大声”？

不要把customer service当作是理所当然的。虽然消费者自然因该享有优良的服务，但并不代表能够蛮不讲理、无理取闹。请切记！！！

1085. December Rains is back!!!

Rant of the day: Ate too much. Feeling extremely full now... Bloated...

I remember this local musical. Back than in 1996, I was a poor secondary school student and almost not possible to fork out the money for the ticket. I can't even afford a proper pair of sneakers for myself. But now, IT'S BACK!!! December Rains (雨季) is back and this time round, starring Kit Chan!!! OMG!!!

But... look at the ticket prices again...

Standard - S$129, S$109, S$89, S$69 (all excludes booking fee)

I think... After more than 10 years, I still can't bear to fork out this amount. I could do alot better with $129 (and probably twice the amount for both dear and I). Moreover, I've got a Hong Kong trip coming. Can't splurge on such indulgence right?

1084. home cook food

Rant of the day: 有时候可能是爱的方式错了……

How to break away from a mundane weekend? So dear and I came up with a brilliant and different way of spending a Saturday -- by doing home cook food!!! And we managed to rope in Arina to help out as well. It's always good to have another helper when one of the cook have absolutely no idea how to cook (that's me)... At least the ladies will have knowledge of what's a foil (and I keep thinking it's referring to aluminium foil) and what it does. Haha...

Dear is busy doing up the Jajangmeon (炸酱面). A Korean noodles with many many vegetables and small chunks of pork with the black bean paste.

While Arina and I tried cracking our brains with the absolutely NO-BAKE peanut butter dessert!!! Isn't this perfect for a total beginner like me?

I can't say much for the Jajangmeon 'cause I ain't helping out with that but dear seems to manage it under her control. As for the dessert, it comes with 4 packets of ingredients in the box. A packet of Oreo crisps. A packet of don't-know-what powder. A packet of peanut butter. And a packet of chocolate sauce.

Basically, we only need to buy extra milk and butter to complete the preparation. Simply follow the instructions. The packets are even numbered to make things simpler for us!!! Woohoo~~~ So here's me preparing the Oreo crisps base with packet 1 and 4 tablespoon of butter.

While Arina get things mixed at the... what do you call this machine again? Mixer mah? Anyway, inside are contents from packet 2 (the don't-know-what powder), milk and packet 3 (that's the sinful peanut butter).

So once I'd got the base mixed and evenly pressed into the foil, it's time to put the mix onto it.

And a perfect (almost perfect) finishing touch with the final packet of chocolate sauce.

Refrigerate it for at least an hour, but I personally encourage you to leave it overnight. And once it's done, slice it up to serve cold! Tada~~~

Seriously, it's GOOD!!! At least for a first timer like me, I feel totally accomplished. Hahahaha... And here come dear's Jajangmeon!!! Just look at the generous spread of sauce and vegetables. Yummy!!!

Have to be honest, the potato ain't very cook but the taste wise, well done! That's why it is important to have a girlfriend who knows how to cook. My dear can really cook well and I totally appreciate her talent. Don't you think I'm a lucky man? Lalalalalala....

1083. angry bird... clear

Rant of the day: Busy busy busy...

The flu bug is flying all over the office. One by one got hit... REAL BAD... Extreme sore throat. Fever. Cough. Runny nose. I'm still safe (for now) and I hope to keep it that way. I hate falling sick but who likes it seriously? Have to keep healthy... ROAR!!!

Dear caught the flu bug too and is in some serious sore throat and fever. Please please please... Let her get well soon. It pains to see her suffer.

But a good news came by earlier.

Not sure if I had mentioned earlier that dear's dog, Niu Niu, got into some trouble over dog fight and the owner of the trouble-making party got bitten in the process (but not sure bit by which dog). Even though he insisted that Niu Niu bit him but seriously, who else saw through the whole process except himself? So, no one can justify the "facts" he says. And we were only recently informed that he actually wrote to Stomp and uploaded some images of his wound.

What is his motive? Creating public outcry? Attempt to win sympathy? Making false and disadvantage image on dear? I'm not sure though.

I can honestly say he can write real well but going through his content, realised that many areas which are doubtful and untrue. Plus, he had indirectly reference dear and she can be identified by others based on the "mere" description. The remarks contained defamatory nature to dear. "Innuendo" is the term people... As such, we wrote to Stomp to get the post pull off but we didn't pin too much hope.

Thankfully, they removed the post today. Nice. Sometimes, it is good to learn some communication law. At least we know how to deal with certain things especially when it comes to slander and libel cases. Haha...

Anyway, so glad that my all time favourite iPhone game, Angry Birds, had just released the final stage and I managed to complete it earlier! Woohoo~~~ But of course, some of it is heng heng clear.

Just hoping that they can release even more stages since I'd completed all the stages now. =P
