1049. my 27th birthday and counting

Rant of the day: Leave is always short. But hey, it's another long weekend this week!!!

Even though when I'm on leave, I'm simply too lazy to update my blog. Oops...

Anyway, have to really say a BIG thank you too all those who had left me birthday greetings via SMS, MSN, Facebook and Twitter. Really appreciate all these. Getting old ain't such a bad thing after all. At least via all these social media network, I am remembered right? Haha...

Birthday celebration started early actually. First, the branch monthly birthday celebration. March babies includes Chai Toh and Lilian. Thanks to the organisers for doing up all these.

Next was a sumptuous lunch treat by Cheng and Joanne at Nara. I love Japanese food!!! We haven't had lunch like this since I started my daily fish soup diet during working days.

Dear always prepare special effort for my birthday and all I want is just home cook food prepared by her. And... TADA~~~

I love the chicken drumstick!!! The vegetables are great too!!!

And here comes the presents!!! Mum got me iPhone!!! I had been wishing for it and even if she don't buy it for me, I'll still go ahead and get one. But appreciate it when she offer to pay for me... Awwwwww... Mirror effect screen protector buy myself.

Brother and Kelly (his dar dar) can't let my iPhone go naked and bought me this leather back cover. Nice!!! The touch is damn good lah!!!

Dear bought me this t-shirt from Berskha. It's very figure complementing.

She actually bought me another present as well... A Nike gym bag!!! Loves~~~

Now I can go gym with a smaller carrier!!!

I'm just home after a super filling dinner with mum, brother and Kelly. Dear wasn't able to join us due to some prior commitments. Nevertheless, the food was FANTASTIC!!! It's seafood at East Coast!!! Went to this restaurant at the Big Splash, The Seafood International Market & Restaurant. Had some discount, $50 off as I've got a voucher from DBS Credit Card. Nice~~~

Even though I am getting older but with all these on-going to brighten up the event, why sulk over age? Live with it and embrace more wrinkles!!! Cheers!!! =)

Lesson of the week: If you wanna fall sick, make sure you are sick enough for a 2 days MC. Else, be back in office the next day for more shit!!!

I am suppose to accompany dear to an invitation only event at Tangs Vivocity with Biotherm after work, so she can get her moisturiser and check out what's in store for members. And I ended up buying this for myself!!!

Plus, the promoter (Cindy) was really nice to keep stuffing us with samples. Here's for me...

Temptation looms...

Was supposed to be happy after buying all these but what really made me total annoyed and disappointed was that I got the closing time for M1 Shop wrong! I thought they closes at 9.30pm. So at about close to 8.45pm, we were speeding all the way down to Paragon from Vivocity. Reached at about 9.10pm and still feeling great that I'm gonna get my iPhone. When we were outside the store, IT'S CLOSED!!!

F**K!!!

Wasted my time!!! I thought it would be nice for the staff to see us rushing to the store to at least come out and offer alternatives or make some arrangements. Too bad they didn't...

Anyway, I hate this week. Uber busy in office and it doesn't help when my partner in crime is on MC for 2 days. Plus, meetings... meetings... and meetings... I got no time to meet the service level le lah!!!

1046. extremely tired

Rant of the day: Eat too full le... *burp*

I am extremely tired. And, I'm not exactly feeling very well now. Not sure what went wrong but my throat is feeling super dry now. Probably not getting enough rest and insufficient water. Plus the weather is not helping this afternoon in Malaysia.

Prior to today, celebrated Lynn's uberly belated birthday with the gang. Dinner at Glass House was good and what a coincidence!!! Arina was there with her friends too!!! After dinner, went KTV till late. Lovin' KTV!!!

*yawn*

Woke up damn early this morning for a Malaysia trip with dear and her dad. Some sort of "business" trip I guess but I'm sure it's merely an excursion for me. Lotsa things shall not be mentioned and published here.

But just a thought -- would you do a business that will earn you damn hell lotsa cash but it's cruel?

I'm not sure of the answer myself...

1045. final module result is out

Question of the day: What do you think of the new BTO at Sengkang?

Today is one of the happiest days this month!!! The result for the final module is out!!! After a brief disappointment from the result of previous module, I managed to end my studies with a bang. I've got a high distinction!!! A long waited HD!!!

Woohoo~~~

Even though my average GPA did not qualify me for a degree with distinction, I am still pretty satisfied with my overall grade. Very very close to what I had aimed for. Even though not there but close...

Was aiming for GPA of 3 and above but only managed to get a 2.94. Good enough to feel accomplished. Haha... I feel light already. Did myself justice... At least I can say I finally achieved something in life.

16 modules in 2 and a half years...

3 high distinctions...

9 distinctions...

4 credits...

1 bachelor degree...

But loads of friends and memories...

We had joy. We had fun. We had shit and endless laughs. But the hills that we'd climbed were just part of our life.

So when will I take my Masters?

Rant of the day: Working OT for the third consecutive Saturday...

Mark your calendar peeps. The 3rd part to the Twilight Saga, Eclipse, is coming on 30 June 2010.

I'm not exactly a particular fan of any actors/actresses but since I'd watched the first 2 episodes, might as well continue the story.

Rant of the day: Don't follow procedure, not correct. Follow procedure, also not correct. What you want?

金钱观念真的很重要。

钱左手进，右手出。做了一年多的工，却仅仅储不到两千元。只刚刚好来买电脑。要读书但是学费却一直要妈妈担心。现在，妈妈尽然要动用她的公积金来支付他的学费的分期付款！虽然是借贷方式，但是有考虑过rainy days的后果吗？

我读书时，可是一分钱也没跟妈妈借！更何况我的学费远远比他的还要高！到了分红的时候，我还能补贴家用……

我做得到，为什么他却做不到？

为什么我读书和他读书，待遇相差那么大？

为什么在我说不需要借他钱来还他的学费时，妈妈却处处替他说话？

我是觉得啦，父母对孩子教育的责任，以目前社会需求来说，只需要提供到diploma就够了。如要超越这个定限，就是孩子自己对自己的未来作安排与计划。那么要继续深造的话，就因该自己承担。没在做工的，如父母有能力的话，当然帮助借贷学费是ok的。有在做工的，就因该计划储蓄以备还学费之需。储蓄不够，就自己想办法。除非真的父母钱多没地方花，不然伸手借钱还自己的学费有一点丢脸吧？

因为也不知道借了钱会不会还……

老实说，我管这么多干嘛？反正又不关我的事。一个肯借，一个肯花。我还有什么话好说？Go ahead man... Not my problem after all.私の関係ない(read as "watashi no kankei nai")……

Anyway，一位很有才华的同事用糖做的花！！！太逼真了啦！！！

我当下事看得目瞪口呆……光看它的细节就知道需要有多巧的手才能做。真的非常impressive。

1042. lagging

Rant of the day: Will the haze just STOP please!!!

Is your Facebook lagging like hell? Mine is. And no matter what application I closed, it is still lagging. How irritating can it be.......

Or is it my laptop? Unlikely. Dear is also facing the same problem. Not my Internet connectivity I hope. But IT Show is coming again starting from Thursday till Sunday. Will make a trip down on what's new and good and cheap and must buy!

On the daily stuff, good thing is, work in office is more or less under control. At least there are chances for a breather. Year in year out and things in office don't change. Tempers flying all over. So are the arrows. Shoot me. Shoot you. Shoot here. Shoot there. So tired of all these but it is part and parcel of our life isn't it?

Anyway, don't you find our weather getting weird. The temperatures are going towards the extreme!!! Plus, the haze is seriously not helping.

*sigh*

But the good news is, dear found a new job! And it is what she wanted! So happy for her. Hope she will love her "new" work place.

1041. i learnt my lesson

Rant of the day: Black Monday... Not just the haze, my mood too...

I'd learnt my lesson...

Lesson 1: Always assume the people you wanna SMS to keep them update are idiots. Because they might not "know" how to hit on the reply option to either acknowledge the message or clarify when they are in doubt of the message.

Lesson 2: When not feeling well, don't be so nice just to take a few hours off to rest and return back to work. Because there are people who are simply to dumb to appreciate the effort. Some people are just not worth the effort to work so hard for... Just take a day MC and get enough rest lah... Best if you can get a few days more. They ought to learn the concept of indispensibility of staff.

Lesson 3: Do the enough. Don't need to work too hard because most of the time, the people "on top" don't even care. If need to, "act" a lil to show that you are "helping".

Lesson 4: When the people "on top" who doesn't have a brain talks to you, just nod your head and reply either "ok" or "yes". Their brain power can only accept and process these 2 words anyway.

Lesson 5: When you need to find a place to retain your sanity, scream into Twitter or blog. Else, I'll see you at the mental hospital in a couple of years time.

I feel so much better already after ranting all out. There's actually more to what really happened but to protect the identity (whether proven innocent or guilty), let's just take it till here... for now.

Rant of the day: Looking forward to Friday...

很久没有po了。没想到一写，就真的很想骂人！！！

在office里，我摆放了一个迷你白板。本想只是写写一些有的没的，宣泄一天的埋怨与怒气。也能当作自己的布告板，表明放假的日子。

就在前几天，因为真的忙到有一点喘不过气，而在班上宣泄着“最近比较烦”这五个字眼。竟然莫名其妙的遭受到无理的对待。开始只是“随口关心”的问发生了什么事。一当知道是因为太忙而留言，竟然无聊到指示同事窜改了我的留言！！！

请问这不是幼稚无聊，那是什么？职位这样高，但尊严在哪儿里？

白板是我的！！！真的，我想写什么就写什么！！！

我可是真的火大了我告诉你！！！

第一，你没有理由改我写的字。

第二，你没有权利改我写的字。

第三，你没有交情改我写的字。
