1) Ginger tea mix
2) Universal adapter (dear have 2 liao but should I buy 1 to spare?)
3) Luggage locks
4) All the necessary USB for camera, mp3 player etc.

7) Toothbrush
8) Shaver

1017. emo-ing
Rant of the day: I'm pretty broke now...
I can start packing my stuff for my Taiwan trip slowly.
I'm not sure why but it's been an emo-ing day. Maybe I'm tired? Maybe I'm excited about the trip? Maybe... Maybe I just need some quiet time to think what the fuck is going on with my life, my work, my dreams and my relationships...
Dear probed me a question that day on the reason why I can't seemed to merge into her family circle. A question that I can't answer, don't know the answer and don't wanna answer. But basically, I think it's a mixture of all aspects. Not just me, her or her family...
I don't know really. Perhaps the trip out of my comfort zone might just be the best time to sort things out.
I've taken quite a number of photos during Christmas Eve but haven't got the photos into my laptop. Need to send my laptop for repair again. It's the same fucking old problem. Can't power on without AC power connected. What crap is this...?!?!?

1016. fucking tired
Rant of the day: Hair damn dry... Sian...
I am sooooooooo fucking tired!!! Can't sleep the whole night. Thanks to my brother who was on the phone with don't know who all the way till around 3am!!!
*yawn*
Pretty sure that I'll be sleeping in a while...
Anyway, it's quite a miracle that I managed to accompany dear to gym in such undesirable body condition. Plus, clear about 6km on the threadmill (in 2 cycles). Don't play play ah. Me still cam run (slowly) without stopping ok... Haha...
So, after today, it's 1.5 working days left before I start clearing my leave. Woohoo~~~
1015. not-so-pro msn scamming
Rant of the day: I love cool weather... But NOT wet weather!!!
Luckily I came home early. Look at the rain now!!! Heavy lah!!! Phew~~~
Anyway guys, do be careful with whom you are chatting to. There are assholes outta get your credit card number via MSN chat!!! There are usually unknown peeps adding you on MSN. While some do their sieving of the contacts, most don't (like me) as we are seriously bo chup. But if you are equally bo chup like me, please be extra careful of the sites you are accessing via links provided in an MSN chat.
I just got this a few minutes ago via MSN. This is like my third or fourth time receiving the exact chat messages... Damn noob...

1014. short weekend
Quote of the day: I am fat and you are ugly. But I can diet...
The weekend seemed extremely short. Just a blink of my eyes and it's over. Damnit... But then again, it means I'm left with 3.5 working days before I start clearing my leave and also, about 8 more days till my Taiwan trip!!! Woohoo~~~ Oh yes. I better start thinking what I need/hope to accomplish next year.
Envy? Muahahahaha... *evil laugh*
And as the festive season draws closer, it makes the mood alot lighter. Christmas!!! One of my favourite holiday... Eh wait... I love ALL public holidays!!! No work!!!
But today was a pretty good one. It's been a super long time since I last woke up early on a Sunday just to have breakfast with mum at the wet market good centre next to our estate. Still lovin' chui kuay with coffee. Nice!!!
Anyway, love this song so much that I'd been repeating it on my mp3 player... Ah Mei's 黑吃黑 (Black Eat Black). Ok... I'd just literally translated word for word... Hahaha...
So nice lah!!! But the MV seems a lil "dark". Don't you think so too?

Anyway, my PPStream is finally working fine and I've been enjoying the most updated variety shows from Taiwan for the past couple of days. Nice.

1012. 零零碎碎
Rant of the day: I jog in the rain just now but it felt really good...

1011. laptop problem resolved
Rant of the day: I'm getting afraid of injection... Pain...
I'm not working today and after clearing what I needed to do, sent my laptop for "repair" because I cannot start up without the AC power. Meaning, just with a fully charged battery, I still cannot switch it on. A natural assumption will be a faulty battery right? But a new discovery! It's actually the RAM not fitted properly when I was given the free RAM upgrade during my purchase. Chey... I thought what's wrong with my 6 months old laptop... Hahaha...
Even though a lot of time wasted due to travelling (the service centre for Acer is at International Business Park @ Jurong East), but luckily it wasn't any major hiccups. Well, you know I'm seldom lucky with electronics no matter how protective I am with the gadgets.
Installed Norton Internet Security 2009 and trying to set up PPS but it kept failing. Not sure why though. After downloading the installer for about 1 hour, it's still at 43.3KB?!? Odd... Never mind. Shall try again tomorrow.
Back to work tomorrow. I need to start clearing as much stuff asI can that's outstanding. Leave clearing is just around the corner...

1010. dbs family day 2009
Rant of the day: Hungry at this time!!! No snacking Eric!!! It's late~~~
I just finish doing my mask and I decided to make every Sunday my DIY facial day.
It's been a long day for dear and I. Woke up early on a Sunday morning just to attend the DBS Family Day at Sentosa. When I woke up, I had absolutely NO URGE to go anymore. I rather have the additional few hours more of sleep. But anyway, we still went ahead.
The sun was killing us all the way till around 2pm!!!
Registration was hell. Seriously disorganised. Well, it's a good idea to split up the queue according to the ticket number but it is totally dumb to place the signages right under the counter. Duh!!! No one can see lah...
We had candy floss with orange juice for "breakfast"... Haha... Well, the queue for hotdogs were twice as long as other food stores in the morning (for obvious reasons).
And finally... Hotdogs!!! Totally famished by the time we got our hands on them... Oops... Too much mustard.
We never got our chance on the ice-cream uncles. The queue was horrendous!!!
Lotsa outdoor activities lined up for everyone but just look at the sun!!! Totally turned me off from the activities.
There were quite a few activity booths but we can't do all of them. But we managed to get ourselves air-brushed... Dear got a tinklebell on her left arm.
And a rose on her right ankle area.
While I got a lizard climbing on my left arm...
A sorta devil's face or is it a dragon face on my ankle. Oh I really like this one... Should I get a real tattoo?
Before we call for the day, took the discounted rate for the luge and skyride. Only $8 for both the ride and the luge! Usual price, $11... Here we are, on the skyride up towards the luge area.
Dear couldn't take the height because we were sorta dangling in mid-air and not enclosed in a place like the cable car. So as the wind blows hard, the whole thing start to wobble. But it is safe as long as you don't move out from the barrier above your thighs.
Getting ready for the luge. Dear's red helmet made her look like the mushroom in Mario games. Kawaii~~~
I'm in the green helmet. Not much choice left for my large head...
Couldn't take photos during the luge. Like how? Both hands on the control. But it's really hell fun!!!
Didn't win anything as well. So sad but what's new? I seldom win anything during lucky draws... But it's a pity. They had sooooooooo many iPods on the lucky draw list!!!

1009. a day in jb
Rant of the day: Sleepy sleepy sleepy...
A day spent at JB with dear, her mum and her sister. So sorry that I can't wake up early and in the end, caught up in the extremely bad traffic at the causeway. But I ain't the only one who can't wake up early. Hahaha... Dear woke up around the same time as I did. =P
Got my hair dyed but ain't exactly the light brown or copper shade that I originally had in mind because I've got too many white hair to cover and the outcome will not be desirable. So, had to settle for the seriously dark brown colour. Sad... But never mind... At least I'd got all my white hair coloured. Thinking if I should straighten my hair next week before going for a cut the following week...
Brought in more than RM400 (more than S$160) but came home with only about RM17. And besides the hair dye, I've only bought a neck scarf and gum for myself, and of course a Secret Recipe cake for home. The rest for treating everyone dinner and of course, dear's shopping... So, who say just exchange S$80 will be enough???
Going to bed soon. Need to wake up early for Sentosa trip with dear. It's her company Family Day. Hope the weather will be nice and good.
Just before I do some exercise before heading to my lalaland, watch this utterly cute video that prolly makes you smile and say "so cute"...
Cute right? Talented young Japanese (I think because he got that typical Japanese look) kid.

1008. over ate
Rant of the day: The acne is not going away!!! *sobz*
I ate too much today. Buffet lunch in office. Monthly branch event. Then, website representative appreciation tea gathering. Then, dinner at home. All in all, difference of about 1 hour 30 min in between. Damn full now till I feel like puking.
And I think I might puke too if this really happens...
Gross... Pooping in a changing room. Right... Will that really happen?
Going JB tomorrow. But before that, accompany dear to SIM for enrollment exercise. I need to dye my hair... Buy cake from Secret Recipe. What else? Where shall I lunch?

1007. result out
Rant of the day: I'm feeling hungry all of the sudden...
Heng ah... 70 marks... A long waited distinction. I've been getting a few credits previously but even with this distinction, it doesn't exactly help alot towards the degree with distinction. Because I will still need to high distinctions to get it. And in my opinion... DAMN HARD lah!!!
Have you read the following article below before? It was circulated within our intranet and I'm beginning to understand and appreciate the beauty of it. It's the 90-10 Principle by Stephen Covey.
Discover the 90/10 Principle. It will change your life (at least the way you react to situations). What is this principle? 10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react. What does this mean? We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us. We cannot stop the car from breaking down.
The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic. We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%.
How? By your reaction. You cannot control a red light., but you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you; YOU can control how you react.
Let's use an example. You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just what happened. What happens when the next will be determined by how you react. You curse. You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus.
Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph speed limit. After a 15-minute delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home, When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter.
Why? Because of how you reacted in the morning. Why did you have a bad day?
A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?
The answer is D. You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day. Here is what could have and should have happened. Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, "It's ok honey, you just need,to be more careful next time". Grabbing a towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you come back down in time to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good the day you are having.
Notice the difference? Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different. Why? Because of how you REACTED. You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction.
Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle.
If someone says something negative about you, don't be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you! React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.
How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Pound on the steering wheel? (A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off) Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them? WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin your drive? Remember the 90/10 principle, nd do not worry about it.
You are told you lost your job. Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will work out. Use your worrying energy and time into finding another job.
The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take out your frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on. Use your time to study, get to know the other passenger. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse. Now you know the 90-10 principle. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results. You will lose nothing if you try it.
The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this principle. The result? Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and heartache. There never seem to be a success in life. Bad days follow bad days. Terrible things seem to be constantly happening. There is constant stress, lack of joy, and broken relationships. Worry consumes time. Anger breaks friendships and life seems dreary and is not enjoyed to the fullest. Friends are lost. Life is a bore and often seems cruel. Does this describe you? If so, do not be discouraged
You can be different! Understand and apply the 90/10 principle. It will change your life.
Interesting isn't it? I'm still trying to learn the skill... Very hard... Really hard because of the way we are brought up. Our environment as well. And not forgetting our culture.

1006. merry merry elfie me!!!
Rant of the day: Acne outbreak... Total sianzation...
Took the H1N1 vaccine this afternoon. Not too sure if it's a normal reaction but about an hour after the jab, I had this weird shortness of breath feeling. Something similar to the break after a long run. Hope it gets better tomorrow.
Since Christmas is around the corner, wishes everyone who reads my blog, a Merry Merry Christmas!!! Here's a video for all of you!!!
I can do hip hop too! Hahaha... Happy holidays peeps!!!

1005. 美好時光
Rant of the day: Exercise on alternate days but I still feel fat...
Not exactly a top hit in Singapore and it's an old song as well. But simply love the melody. The way 2 of them pit their melody and harmony together... Fantastic!!! 《美好時光》(Good Times) by 光良 and 阿穆隆.
Nice right? It's on repeat mode in my mp3 player now. Not sure what language was 阿穆隆 saying though. Must be some native tongues in China.

1004. iphone登场咯
Joy of the day: Bonus this month. I can finally get my in-line skates. Shit! What about iPhone?

1003. vain pot
Rant of the day: I hate my weight!!! I need to exercise more and eat less!!!
I'm a vain pot... Bought an exfoliating gel by Nugeno Men and acne patch by 3M. Spent a long time on my face just now. Exfoliating. Cleansing. Sticking the acne patch. Toning. Moisturing. Dark circles tapping. See... I'm so vain. Hahahaha... What's new?
Prawning on Saturday was fun! But it's way too early in the morning and I had huge trouble waking up. Nevertheless, caught 19 prawns in total and got myself a whooping 7 pokes/bruises/cuts (on both of my hands) by the prawns pincers. Ouch! But luckily, they are prawns and not crabs. Hahahaha...
And yes, I LOVE Lee Wee Brother's nasi lemak! Delicious!!!
Anyway, Monday is here again. Sucks big time. Some outstanding stuff to clear in office:
1) Workshop slides to amend
2) Enquiry log interface review
3) Website recommendation
4) Website updates
5) Daily emails in general enquiry mailbox
6) Queries to clear
Additional stuff coming up this week:
1) H1N1 vaccination
2) Website representative appreciation gathering
3) Workshop to conduct
So sad. Better start counting my tasks before I start work tomorrow. And I better clear as much as I can before I go on my long leave. 22 days to Taiwan!!! Woohoo~~~

1002. around the corner
Joy of the day: Badminton after work was great!!!
Finally redeemed my DBS credit card points before they expire on coming Saturday. Looks like shopping is around the corner. Let's see what I'd redeemed... Isetan voucher, Pedro voucher, Anderson's voucher and United Square voucher. Shopping time!!! Hahaha...
Christmas is coming soon and this means I'm getting closer to my Taiwan trip. Woohoo~~~ I'm all excited already. 25 days and still counting down. Let's see what else do I need to prepare for the trip... I haven't got clothes that are warm enough but I'd got my down feather jacket though. Still, it's just an outer wear. Should get some long sleeve tees right? Haven't exchange enough cash. Shit... Toiletries should be enough. Underwear confirm have. Hmmmmmm... What should I wear to bed? It's gonna be cold and I'm not sure if the hotel room have a working heater... Luggage bag. Check. Contact lens and stuff. Check. Passport. Check. Oh... Have to remember to clear all my memory card in my camera before I leave.
I can't wait lah!!! Hahaha...
It's Friday and in a few hours time, I'll be happily sitting in office counting down to knock off time. Gonna rush to Somerset. It's the opening of Uniqlo at the new shopping mall, 313@Somerset. Woohoo~~~

Rant of the day: Our system interface is so not user-friendly lah as compared to the vendor's!

Awwwwwwwww... So cute right? If only Deric does the same thing. Haha... But Deric is good in 1 thing... Give us the totally sad look when we are eating. Right~~~
