591. on my sick day

Joke of the day: A gorgeous young redhead goes into the doctor's office and said that her body hurt wherever she touched it.
"Impossible!" says the doctor. "Show me."
The redhead took her finger, pushed on her left shoulder and screamed, then she pushed her elbow and screamed even more. She pushed her knee and screamed; likewise she pushed her ankle and screamed. Everywhere she touched made her scream.
The doctor said, "You're not really a redhead, are you?"
"Well, no" she said, "I'm actually a blonde."
"I thought so," the doctor said. "Your finger is broken."

I'm on MC today. Being away from work in the middle of week do feel great occasionally. But today was not quite a resting day for me. Was working (or at least trying very hard to) on the reading log thing that I need to submit tomorrow in class. Well, at least I can have a rather peaceful lunch tomorrow, unlike yesterday's lunch, where I had to lunch in office to work on my previous reading log that was due yesterday.

What so sickening about this module is that there is an assignment due every lesson. Felt like I'm back to primary and secondary school days.

Gonna work extra hard this year. Got a feeling that it wouldn't be as smooth as 2007. Well, my instinct can be wrong... I hope...

Somehow, I've also got this feeling that I can't get an average of distinction for all my modules. Seriously felt that I'm not quite a cut above the rest. I'm just average no matter how hard I work on it. I don't even think that I'll ever have the chance to do my convocation in Australia at the end of my two and a half years. As I was reading through those materials for today's reading log, I felt stupid. My eyes were scrolling ups and downs the text and somehow, I just felt that I can't relate to the words. *sigh*

I hope it's the effect of my cough syrup. Drowsy...

On the new group assignment, not sure how heavy is the major assignment but since it requires five per group, it definitely don't sound too easy to me. But having too many members in a group definitely ain't easy to manage. Too many ideas (good and bad... and seriously, you know why) and too many side-trackings. Let's concentrate and work hard guys and gals!

Chinese New Year is coming soon. Bak Kua prices gonna rise soon. Radios are already playing those usual new year songs that they play every year. Bought your new clothes yet? Think I wouldn't spend too much this year on clothings and other stuff. Running low on budget already. But I need a new pair of shoes... and a skinny tie... and I wouldn't mind another few more tops and jeans... and new watch... and... and... and...
