Deric is almost 8 months old and he is growing up well. His fur is almost full grown and is getting heavier. About 11kg now!

801. past 2 days

Rant of the day: I'm so in love with bah kwa!

It's work tomorrow. So sad...

But it also means dear will be back in about 24 hours time! I miss her so much! Bet she had enjoyed her Universal Studio and Disneyland.

Just back track a lil to CNY eve. After painting the walls and doors, shifting of furniture, putting up decors, my house is finally in the mood for the festive season. There's simply too many things at home. Spent so much time throwing the unwanted stuff.

And everyone at home is a sucker for CNY goodies. Look at all those goodies! Think we can eat for 2 months lar!

Mum had invited her China colleagues over to have their first CNY dinner in Singapore. So she prepared a whole lot of food. And these ain't all. There were more to come.

Did I mentioned previously that my wireless modem was cranky? My older one also failed on the eve. So had to get a new one.

And really, I like to spend my CNY eve at home with my mum. Think it's almost a family tradition to stay up late and watch the count down programme.

Last night was a busy night over the dining table. Mum invited her China colleagues over to have their first reunion dinner in Singapore. The house was practically filled with women's chattering! Since mum was busy entertaining her guests, I have no choice but to wash the dishes.

And I seriously think that these girls never seen a man do household chores. They said men in China don't lift their fingers to do such stuff. Whatever lar... I am 名草有主 ok. I'm taken and reserved. Haha...

After a brief cleaning for dear's car, I'm all sweaty AGAIN! Dear, your car seriously need a proper cleaning lar.

Rant of the day: I'm so sleepy...

Today is eve of CNY eve. Still, no mood to celebrate and I don't know why. Maybe I'm too tired to celebrate.

Spent the whole morning cleaning house, put up decors, shift furniture... Things can be quite scary if you clean your house once a year. Well, I do clean my house every week lar but it's just that it's not so thorough unlike now.

And it seriously doesn't help when you still have to complete your school assignment over the CNY week. Super sian ah...

Dear called me last night and I really miss her so much. The feeling of waiting for her to come back feels terrible.

Japan is damn cold now. Hope she is coping well with her flu and her yi *ahem* ma *ahem*. It can be quite annoying when you are trying to enjoy yourself but it is simply wet wet and sticky sticky underneath.

How I know?

I got Haemorrhoids. So whenever it acts up and swell, I have to apply a special cream to lessen the swell and pain. And it is fucking annoying when you feel sticky and wet in your ass.

So for guys who suffers the same thing as me, will definitely understand how bad the "sensation" is. And the girls will prolly say "small case lar" since their yi ma thing is a monthly affair.

Rant of the day: I couldn't find the right clothes to wear for CNY. Shit...

Dear is on her way to Japan now. It's not even more than 3 hours since I last saw her and I'm already missing her like crazy...

She's already not feeling well just now. Think her monthly affair is around the corner and her flu is also bugging her. But I'm sure she will enjoy herself there. It's been her dream to visit Japan. But I still wanna go Korea lehz.

Her dad had lend me his car for CNY since no one is using at home. So nice of him. Then this year, it's easier to go around. Thank you uncle. =)

Rant of the day: I'm running on a sleep debt...

$20 use to last me about half a week during poly. Now, $20 barely last me a day... Scary...

This few days head been hectic. Work... School... Work... Project... And the cycle just kept repeating almost everyday till a point that I can't help but to feel STRESSED! And yes, it does not help when one of the group member is totally uncontacteable despite numerous attempts!

Tried email... Doesn't work. Tried sms... Doesn't work either. Tried calling... Nope, no answer. And we assigned a task to include for presentation! Not sure what's going on!

Just as we thought things will be fine for this project... So sad...

Let's just hope the presentation tomorrow will be ok. I want my distinction back badly.

Rant of the day: Sleepy.....

Flu please go away... Clear lungs. No fever. No cough. Throat quite sore.

Think the medicine quite strong. Just 1 tablet and the nose block problem disappeared! But my throat still quite sore.

Slept almost the whole day. It's been like doze off... wake up... doze off... wake up... But still feel a lil aching here and there. Maybe I slept too much.

But still, flu always lead to other complications like cough and fever. Sianz... And this flu bug is bugging the office. Think more peeps will be falling ill.

Hope I get well soon. CNY is just around the corner and I don't wanna miss out the goodies! Hmmmmm... I haven't finishing my shopping for top but no money. Should I still shop?

Emcee for wedding is FUN! Though I flopped a lil along the way due to those tongue-twisting Mandrin lines, but still managed to pull through lar. At least I don't freeze on the stage in fright.

Think Joanne and I make a good partner on stage. Haha. Since we are pretty good in this emcee stuff, we are thinking of "promoting" our service without going through any third party agent. So, savings on the agent's commission.

Groups are more or less settled. It's only through such group split, you will get to see how scheming some people are. And sometimes, such unhappiness happens from the least expected people.

Anyway, here comes the issues with grouping again. The inflexibilty of this lecturer is now giving the class a big problem. No groups of 4. No groups of 6. Strictly stop at 5 members per team. But our group has 6! Shit...

But I had prepared myself for the worse case scenario -- to leave the group in case they need to "kick" someone out. Well, I felt that this might be the best solution for the group and prolly the end of the other members' misery. No more bossy and naggy Eric around! Yeah!

I'm not "bossy" lar... I don't agree to anyone who use this word on me actually but each has their own views. But sometimes, situation forces someone to take charge and it will then depends on who is leading the pack. I swear I will not take charge anymore. Tired... As for "naggy", I don't deny. Such things come with age lar... I am really getting old and am not denying this fact but who doesn't get old? So look where you fingers are pointing. You will get old too one day. In fact, you ARE GETTING OLD EVERY SINGLE MINUTE lor.

Oh well, we'll see how's the arrangement tomorrow in class. There's only 3 possiblities tomorrow:
1) We stay as a group of 6
2) We split into 3 members aside and hoping to get 2 new members each
3) I leave and explore into the "wild" while all the unknown awaits

Let's hope it's the first option.

Rant of the day: So sian... Monday coming...

Chinatown is damn crowded! I didn't know that today was the CNY light-up ceremony (or whatever they name it) and am there, having people squeezing everywhere. Was not there to be part of the thing but, rather to accompany dear to exchange currency for her Japan trip.

Was chatting with dear about male and female toilet earlier on. When most guys thought the female toilet is cleaner then the male, think again... The way dear describes to me the female public toilet, it's totally disgusting! So, which ever female ever gonna complain that men can't aim and pee properly in the toilet bowl, they ought to give themselves one tight slap.

Men can't pee accurately has a reason -- a physical reason. Some men pee all over because of the foreskin but some men pee accurately because of the foreskin. Likewise for circumcised men. Some can do it accurately while some simply can't do it and it's not on purpose.

However, women are DIFFERENT. They pee all over the cubicle NOT because of physical problems. They don't wanna sit on the toilet bowl, thinking that it's "dirty" and simply refuse to wipe it clean. So they sort of half-squat, while trying to take aim in the large bowl. Unlike men where we got an extended tube for pee-ing, women don't have. And this, cause the urine to splatter all over.

And women complain men can't pee properly... Right...

I can accept men who can't pee accurately, as long as they don't pee ALL OVER the cubicle. But I cannot accept men who don't flush! Got hands to hold onto the weapon to pee but no hands to flush the damn toilet bowl? Cut off their fingers!

Some even more powerful. Don't flush? Nevermind. But they don't wash their hands too! This is totally disgusting! What is their problem?

Very inconsiderate!

I mean, you wanna die of your own bacteria then go ahead. But, if you don't maintain basic hygiene and start spreading your seeds of "love" by hand-shaking others or touching money, this is not acceptable!

786. vet trip

Resolution of the year: Pick up roller-blading...

Dear, due to some unforeseen circumstances, you need to buy the textbooks le. Looks like history repeated itself again like last semester. Ya... erm... I subsidise you ok?

Anyway, a day at home but not exactly wasted. Took Deric to the vet. And, like what we suspected, his ears got "something wrong". Ear infection. Well, at least it's not ear mites or some insects living within. Just some build up of yeast and bacteria that causes the inflamation.

For those looking for a good pet clinic, can go google this really good clinic that I went -- The Animal Doctor. It's at Ang Mo Kio Ave 4. The vets are really friendly, patient and provide really useful advise and tips. Charges are also reasonable.

He is damn playful! Trying to "get close" with another female dog in the clinic. Naughty boy! He actually barked at the dog to get some attention but seriously, this is not the way to jio girls lar. But ever since Deric came to our house, things ain't so boring. There is more life in the family and everyone is buzzing around to spend a lil more time at home. But sometimes, he do get on our nerves... like poo poo outside his tray, chew on the rags, nibble our hands...

But still, he is so lovable!

The emcee deal with Huey Weng is confirmed. I'll be doing her wedding emcee with Joanne. My virgin show (处女秀), so I better don't screw up. It's time for me to get some exposure. Don't think anything can go too wrong. Just that have to start thinking on how to make the atmosphere more fun and relax and of course, prepare for the unexpected or maybe the expected.

So, maybe after getting more experience in such emcee stuff, anyone getting married can also engage me to emcee your wedding. Well, things come with a price and it get more expensive as we get more exposure lar. Haha...

785. first day of 2009

Rant of the day: My neck is aching...

Yeap... My first post for 2009. Not working tomorrow, so I can afford to stay up a lil later then the usual.

Countdown at Zirca was great. But due to some indigestion, my stomach aches like hell. There's like so much "air" in my stomach and kept going to toilet. Not the best way to start the new year lor! And yes, I spent alot of money on the countdown... The dinner. The cover. The drinks. The cab. Ouch... But as long as dear enjoyed herself, I'm more than willing to spend.

And, Zirca is damn fun but last night was way TOO CROWDED! Already with the bad stomach, then, people EVERYWHERE! Can't even enjoy dancing. Either people elbowed me or having their sweaty and smelly back rubbing mine. Eeewwww...

Oh yes, haven't been dancing on the platform for really long and last night, was finally up on the platform again. Can't believe I'm doing that but yeah, I'm really on the platform. Haha...

Odd thing is, why are there people looking at me? Looking... NOT staring... Either I look really outstanding or I danced damn well. Hahaha. Whatever the case is, if you wanna learn how to dance in club from me, charges as follows:

Anyway, I self-proclaim to be the nightmare for all customer service officers who cannot serve well.

I am easily annoyed by officers who DON'T listen to what I said! If he/she requires me to repeat myself the damn thing 3 times, this officer is really in deep shit.

Earlier this afternoon, made a call to Singtel mobile to find out their lil promo on the 9-9 online shopping discount. It states "Terms and conditions applies" but I cannot access this "terms and condition" page online. In case you are wondering what is it, it's an online promo from 9pm to 9am, you get to enjoy a $30 discount. BUT, it didn't state whether is it applicable for all phone models.

Thinking that it might only applies to certain model, I called their helpline to confirm my understanding since that "terms and condition" page is not loading. The officer confirmed twice to me that it applies to ALL phone models, on top of the trade-in.

So, just a while ago, I was trying to make my purchase for the Omnia 8GB but when I was about to make payment, the $30 wasn't reflected. Based on my mum's mobile plan, the phone cost $368. After trade-in, the phone should cost $218. And, after the promo discount, it should only be $188. But, the bill shows $218!

Weird...

So, I made another call to the helpline. Initially, it was told that the $30 will be rebate from the coming bill. Then, he called me back and told me that he made a mistake. This phone model does not enjoy the discount. This happened only after I paid for the phone!

I explained to him calmly about the confirmation given by another officer in the afternoon that this promo applies to ALL models but he simply don't get what I'm trying to say.

"I'm sorry sir but this model don't enjoy the model."
"But the officer that I spoke to this afternoon says that it applies to all model."
"I understand but I'm sorry sir but this model don't enjoy the model."
"I heard you but I say, the officer that I spoke to this afternoon says that it applies to all model."
"I understand but I'm sorry sir but this model don't enjoy the model."
*I got really fed up with this stupid officer*
"I SAY AGAIN. THE OFFICER THAT I SPOKE TO THIS AFTERNOON SAYS THAT THE DAMN PROMO APPLIES TO ALL DAMN MODELS! YOU HEAR ME? A-L-L... ALL! SO I DON'T CARE WHATEVER YOU SAY AND JUST GIVE ME THAT DAMN DISCOUNT! DON'T CARE HOW YOU DO IT BUT I WANT IT! YOU HEAR ME? IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE WHAT I SAID, GO RETRIEVE THE CALL LOG!"
"Erm... So... Erm... Ok, I will erm... do a $30 bill rebate in your next bill sir. Is that ok?"

Fierce eh? I think I'm damn fierce lar. But I'm not wrong in raising my voice. He is NOT listening to what I had said!

Then, in less than 2 min, he called back and says he cannot do the $30 bill rebate and offered a 6 months free caller ID instead, which mum had been paying for it at $5 per month. Ok lar, add up still gives me $30.

But than again, I'm already buay song ("unhappy" in hokkien) about it. What a way to start my new year! Scolding people on the first day of the year is not a good sign. But I'll stand and protect for what is right for me.

So if you are a customer service officer and you know you cannot serve me well, please, stay clear. Else, you will get yourself a very bad day.
