849. if you seek amy

Rant of the day: I want massage again!

Ok... I am really bored after all the reading... Is really sian de lor! So, 3 blog posts straight! Haha. For those who had heard Britney's new single, If You Seek Amy, here it is.

La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la

Oh baby, baby, have you seen Amy tonight?
Is she in the bathroom, is she smokin' up outside? (Oh!)
Oh baby, baby, does she take a piece of lime
For the drink that I'mma buy her, do you know just what she likes? (Oh!)

Oh (Oh)
Tell me have you seen her, cause I'm so (Oh)
I can't get her off of my brain
I just wanna go, to the party she gon' go
Can't somebody take me home?
Haha, hehe, haha, ho

Love me, hate me
Say what you want about me
But all of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

Love me, hate me
But can't you see what I see?
All of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

(Love me, hate me) La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la

Amy told me that she's gonna meet me up
I don't know where or when and now they're closin' up the club (Oh!)
I've seen her once or twice before she knows my face
But it's hard to see with all the people standin' in the way (Oh!)

Oh (Oh)
Tell me have you seen her, cause I'm so (Oh)
I can't get her off of my brain
I just wanna go, to the party she gon' go
Can't somebody take me home?
Haha, hehe, haha, ho

Love me, hate me
Say what you want about me
But all of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

Love me, hate me
But can't you see what I see?
All of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

(Love me, hate me) Ohhhh, say what you want about me
Ohhhh, but can't you see what I see?
(Love me, hate me) Yeahh, say what you want about me
(La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la)

So tell me if you see her (Let me know what she was wearing and what she was like)
Cause I've been waiting here forever (Let me know where she was going I don't mind)

Oh baby, baby, if you seek Amy tonight (Oh!)
Oh baby, baby, we'll do whatever you'll like
Oh baby, baby, baby
Oh baby, baby, baby...

La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la

Love me, hate me
Say what you want about me
But all of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

Love me, hate me
But can't you see what I see?
All of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

Love me, hate me
Say what you want about me (Yeaaaah)
(La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la) (Yeah)

Love me, hate me
But can't you see what I see?
All of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

(Love me, hate me) Ohhhh, say what you want about me
Ohhhh, but can't you see what I see?
(Love me, hate me) Yeahh, say what you want about me

All of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

Seriously... this song makes NO SENSE at all! Read those lines that I had highlighted in red. It doesn't make sense right?

"All of the boys and all of the girls are begging to if you seek Amy"

Break down the sentence again and then you will understand what the heck she's singing...

"All of the boys and all of the girls are begging to F-U-C-K me"

Now it make sense.

Right...

848. brewerkz

Joy of the day: I am enjoying my out-of-office!!! Woohoo!!!

After the mad rush home after we landed to bathe, get changed and feed Deric (because no one else is at home), dear and I rushed all the way to Clarke Quay to meet up with mum, brother and Kelly for dinner at Brewerkz.

It's my birthday dinner! Yippeee!!!

Here's the main course. Alot lar! 3 pieces of fish and chips. 1 large serving of pork ribs and onion rings. 2 sausages and mash.

Kelly: Wah seh... So many... How to finish ah?
Brother: Ai seh... The pork ribs look delicious! I want that pork ribs!!!
Mum: I thought we only ordered 3 main courses to share... How come the portion so BIG?

Actually, dear and I were also stunned by the serving portions! It's damn huge!

Here's the deserts. From the left: apple tart with vanilla ice cream, apple crumble topped with vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream cake. Their deserts are equally large! Phew! We only ordered 3 deserts to share, else we will be puking somewhere.

Mum, dear and I after the dinner. We were sooooooo full that we don't feel like walking! Apparently, looking at all our clothes, it was an unarranged night of white, grey and black shades... Haha...

I love Brewerkz!!! Yummy!!!

847. bintan, the departure

Rant of the day: Mugging!!!

2D1N passes really fast and just a twitch of our eyes, the holiday is over... Abit sad... But seriously, I appreciated and enjoyed this trip because it is a birthday trip organised by dear for me!

Love it! Love you so much dear!

Woke up late on the departure day because had diarrhoea the whole night. suspecting might be caused by those seafood I ate. So, we went to cancel our snorkeling arrangement because I'm not feeling well and also, a lil too late for us to check out the room.

Free breakfast for us at the restaurant. Seriously, the spread wasn't bad.

Dear's breakfast. The scramble eggs looks fantastic eh? It really taste good!

And these are mine. I also want the scramble eggs! Tried beef bacon before? Taste pretty nice though.

After checking out the room, we had some time left before we leave for the ferry. So, we decided to do some shopping. They are building this resort centre at the Nirwana with some shopping facilities.

Can walk there lar but we were a lil lazy and decided to take the shuttle bus. See... there seat so funny! Made of wood!

This is the view from the resort centre. They have a horse ranch and an elephant farm below! They are still developing this place and probably in 5 to 10 years time, the Nirwana sea sport centre will be shifted here instead.

After doing some shopping, we were on time for the ferry. Here we are in the vessel back home.

While we were cam-whoring, the rest of the passengers were flooding in. Basically, Bintan is infested by tourists from all around the globe! Japanese... Koreans... Singaporeans... ang mohs... ang mohs and more ang mohs...

Again, the return trip is about an hour. Here it is... Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. Can see that the weather is not really good here.

I wanna go back Bintan again!!! 3D2N!!!

846. bintan, the massage

Joy of the day: Thanks peeps for all the birthday wishes!

Sorry peeps. This post has no photos because we were practically naked throughout the entire treatment.

It's my first time having a real full body massage. *ahem* It's a DECENT massage hor. Don't let your imagination stray.

The trip to the massage parlour was a lil scary. Firstly, the massage was on appointment basis outside the resort area. And so, we have to travel out on the provided vehicle from the parlour. Secondly, it was only about 8pm but we could barely see our hands. It's so dark on the street and there is NO street lamps. And so, we were riding and putting our lives on the driver's hands. And lastly, the place has no other tourists except dear and I!!! There's only a few locals and so, if anything happened to us, nobody knows!

Scary eh?

But, the trip was safe.

Once we reached the parlour, we were greeted with smiles and we began the marinating process...

Step 1: Stuff some spices in
They gave us each a glass of cold ginger tea. Seriously, it taste real good and sort of relaxed the body from the long day.

Step 2: Choose the "sauces" to marinate
We were presented with a list of essential oils and each has a different purpose. Examples for calming, detox, relaxing and etc. We are allowed to mix up to 2 different oils. To cater to our needs.

Step 3: Strip down
After making payment, we were brought to a room with 2 beds that look like a chopping board. Haha... We were given each a towel and a disposable underwear. Ok... It's a lil awkward because we weren't mentally prepared to strip down!

Step 4: The marinating starts
The massuers came in after we changed into the disposable underwear and ordered us to lay flat on the bed facing down. They started from the waist up towards the neck area. The first move they did stunned me. She pulled down my underwear and massaged upwards from the tail bone!

Throughout the whole session, she literally oiled me with my chosen "sauces" from head to toe. Yeah, she did massage my head to release all the work and school tensions. And also my feet! The whole marinating process felt so good that I almost fall asleep.

Step 5: Wash off
After the treatment, we decided to wash off the "sauces" because it's damn oily lar! How to wear back my clothes if I'm so oily?

Step 6: Stuff in more spices
After we wash up, we were given each a cup of warm ginger tea. Nice... For the first time, dear was enjoying ginger tea! It wasn't too spicy nor sweet. Just nice.

So, I strongly recommend you to get yourself "marinated" if you go Bintan. Release yourself from all that stress that you had been accumulating. Might wanna visit the one we went. Aroma Day Spa offers traditional Javanese Spa. Tel them at 0770-692072. Their price for our 1hr full body massage is S$42 per pax.

Really... can consider...

845. bintan, the suite

Joy of the day: Happy birthday to me!!!

Had previously mentioned we got a free upgrade to a suite right? The suite is good lar! It's not too far from the lobby and the stores. It has a fantastic view of the sea. King-size bed. Large LCD TV. And it's less than 5min to the beach!

Dear is enjoying the view from the living room. Cosy right?

And I love their large sofa. So comfortable!

Yes, they have a balcony big enough for 2 to cuddle up at night while enjoying sea breeze.

Look out from the balcony, you get a fantastic sea view! But hor, what a pity... The trees are blocking the view.

Let's go to the bedroom now. Here it is, the large king-sized bed! Soooooo cosy lar!!! For the first time, my feet don't fall out from the edge of the bed when I sleep!

And the toilet. Large eh! It's twice the size of my home toilet! Glass door on the left is shower. On the right is the toilet bowl. And at the right side before the glass door is the large bath tub!

Here's the sink with a whole lot of toiletries. But I don't recommend you to use it. 'Cause don't know how long it's been there...

This is the noisy bugger. They put a lil water-flowing deco in the living room. Nice but the sound of the water flowing is a lil irritating at night. Then again, we can close the bedroom door lar. Haha...

So, besides the free upgrade, we also went for our first massage in our lives! Coming up next, our massage... ^^v

844. bintan, the arrival

Shout of the day: I love massage!

I'm back!!!

Bintan is really fantastic. Don't ask me which part of the trip is good, because it's my first time to Bintan, I have no expectation. So, anything and almost everything is good! Moreover, this trip was organised by dear as a birthday gift!

I love it!

So, throughout the 2D1N stint, had many many first time...

First time at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.
First time to Bintan.
First time overseas with dear.
First time staying in a suite.
First time having a full body massage.
First time seeing the most beautiful starry night.

Oh well... Took quite a handful of photos...

First time at this ferry terminal. It's a bit confusing here but still, it's very orderly managed. A first-timer can still find what they need.

Grab a quick shot before boarding.

Too bored during the 1 hour ferry ride. So what? Listen to mp3 and take more photos!!!

I see land! We are almost there! Gosh... Backside sit until numb le lar!!!

Here we are. The Bintan Ferry Terminal. Erm... Ya... It's in a mess as compared to our own terminal.

The bus ride is pretty fast. Minus the waiting time, it took only about 30min to reach out resort -- Nirwana Resort Hotel. We originally booked Mayang Sari (or something lidat) right in front of the beach but we got a FOC upgrade to a Nirwana suite! Photos of the suite will be in next post.

We were greeted by dance and songs at the entrance. What an intriguing way to welcome guests and I really appreciate it.

The lobby is a lil old but very traditional. I like it very much.

As we were a lil early and the room ain't ready, went for lunch at the Poolside Restaurant. The look of prices may be a lil scary though. Dear got a chicken pizza. The pizza is seriously too big! But it taste really good. Pizza huge enough for 2 pax @ S$12.

I've got the traditional Indonesian beef stew. And yummy! It is superb! Love it! The beef are damn huge! Soup + bread/rice @ S$8.

Ok. Enough for today. Time to turn in. zzzZZZzzz

843. things to do to make you "famous"

Rant of the day: The weather is really getting too warm!!!

Beyoncé is damn hot. And that hips... is her hip joints loose? How can twist and shake until like that? Crazy lar! Ouch!

But... This is totally NOT sexy!!! Pui!!! Some people just go all out to be "famous"...

His balls are bouncing vigorously with his tummy lor! Eeewwwwwww... Think he really need to do more of this routine to slim down.

Gross...

Anyway, in about 12 hours, I'll be on my way to Bintan!!! Yeah!!!

Passport... check
Cash... check
Singlets... check
Broad shorts... check
Underwear... check
Toiletries... check
Towel... check
Camera... still charging

Hmmmmmm... oh!!! My suntan lotion!!! Eh... why left so little ah? It's not leaking lor! Aiyah, must be my brother la. Use so much dunno how to replenish de! Grrrrrrrr...

842. insomnia

Rant of the day: So tired that even Espresso can't help...

Earth Hour 2009 is coming this 28 March. I'm not in Singapore though. Will be in Bintan. However, do participate and save Earth... because we all live on it. If we don't start saving Earth, who will?

Watch this clip for this year's publicity.

Join in and play your part. All you need is to switch off your lights for an hour.

Anyway, insomnia struck me last night. I couldn't get over with the lecturer's over harsh comments over our presentation because I still felt not all the comments are justifiable. While we mentioned we "lost control" with our speech, he too went a lil overboard and lost control.

*sigh*

Even though I can't sleep last night and had a really sleep day at work, I still pushed for a jog. I need to clear my mind. I need to stay sane because whatever is over, is over... Can't dwell on it right? Even so, it's really hard to digest the comments because it hurt all our hardwork.

I'm so tired...

Now I feel really dreadful about going to work.

841. presentation... *sigh*

Rant of the day: I need some good and quality sleep... zzzZZZzzz...

What I cannot swallow is when people criticise that my presentation is not professional...

Sort of disappointed and extremely pissed. Even though I am not trained (with certification) that I am a full fledge public speaker, but with my past 2 years of public speaking experiences, I am quite proud to be a decent (perhaps more than just decent) speaker/presenter.

How do you judge your audience? Based on just 1 audience or the group as a whole? So, when we planned the presentation, we used the whole class as a model -- friends. It will be a complete opposite if we are presenting to a hall of lecturers right?

Which is why I felt his comments are over-critical.

It's not that we don't accept what he said. While we understand and readily accept his constructive and suggestive feedbacks, certain stuff are also not exactly justifiable.

1) Your skit is not funny -- then explain why people are laughing...
2) Your presentation is not professional -- depends on how we factor out the audiences.
3) Important thing is at the last few slides -- mentioned in the first few slides, we NEED to evaluate all before we can come to a conclusion.
4) "Bubble tea" is so past tense -- the bubble tea scenario wasn't the main content. We are talking about HERD INSTINCT with reference to the bubble tea scenario.

While we admit to the stage mistakes we'd made because we really over-looked (we had practise the use of the lightings before the start), and perhaps certain words used were pretty crude. Still, it is a little over-doing of the critics.

Tried defending but... Whatever it is, all done... Looks like my distinction is gone.

Focus on exam... wrong... my Bintan trip and than my birthday!!! Yeah!!!

840. sleep deprived

Joy of the day: Finally done with my IP! Presentation, here I come!

When everyone is enjoying their sleep on weekends, was up till 4am last night, trying to complete the individual paper. Had planned to go gym at about 10am but couldn't wake up till 10.30am! And still, have to bathe Deric (which usually take about an hour).

Have not had my breakfast and now, it's already lunch time. Stomach growling... And yet, my eyes are half closed.

Later in the afternoon, have to exchange some rupiah for my Bintan trip. I am sooooooo looking forward to this trip! Haven't stepped out of Singapore for a really long time. The last time was with Xuan to Genting... which was like... 4, 5 years back?

Which is why I appreciate dear's effort to gimme a trip out even if it's just a night in Bintan and I can't wait! I want that massage! And probably get some good sleep.

Hmmmmmm... Can I claim the transport fare from my Flexi Benefit?

Eh! I just found 650 rupiah in my drawer. But, which is like a dollar S$? Haha...

839. weight lost solution

Rant of the day: Presentation preparation in progress...

I think this is the answer for me...

Right... Haha... I think I need more than 12 bottles per day. Oh come on dude, gimme 24 bottles of beer. I need to lose weight!!!

838. are you going to finish strong?

Rant of the day: I'm bloated...

I'm sorry peeps. So sorry to disappoint all my supporters. I didn't win the Y.E.S. 93.3FM Voice Idol (声音偶像) competition. Yi Han won the title for the Voice Idol 2009. But hey, I had lotsa fun! And really, it's a fantastic learning experience for all contestants.

Here's a group photo for the top 9! Only 2 guys made it to the top 9 and I'm one of it! Hee...

*proud*

We are in mask so the audience cannot judge us by appearance. Scratch scratch... Shit... How to act this emotion sia??? Better skim through fast and make sure I can read all the words! All segments of the competition were done without any practise or rehearsal of the scripts. Tough man... Photo courtesy of He Sheng.

Our certificate for qualifying into top 9. Something for me to put into my resume. Hahaha... Hey, it's an achievement for me ok... I'd only managed to reach top 50 during the last Star DJ competition!

Something inspirational for you peeps. I'd watched it 10 times the night before the competition. Are you going to finish strong? Inspirational video by Nick Vujicic.

So, are you going to finish strong too? I think I did and I will keep on trying when an opportunity rises. The wall in front of you will let you know how much you wanna get something.

837. finals tomorrow

Rant of the day: Sian... Still gotta OT tomorrow morning...

Y.E.S. 93.3FM Voice Idol (声音偶像) finals is just a few hours away. Gosh... My heart is getting more and more excited. Though I'm not pinning too much hope, I'm still excited lar! Stage round lehz! So many people...

*gulp*

A bit scary lar. Even though I had soooooooo many stage experiences but they were merely for speech giving at work. Somehow, the Star DJ competition stage round nightmare 2 years back are still haunting me.

Just done my mask. Prepared my clothes. Practise practise and practise... I'm not stress but I really wanna do my best so that I don't disappoint my family, friends and myself. Eric, 加油加油加油!!!

For those who really cannot remember the details for finals tomorrow, it's as follows:

Date: 14 March 2009
Day: Saturday
Time: 4pm
Venue: Bugis Junction @ L1 Bugis Square
Guest appearance by Da Mouth (大嘴巴)

Think it's also i-Weekly's roadshow and this finals will be part of the day event. Excited lar!!! One of my fav group will be performing! Here's one of their love song, 《永远在身边》.

Aisha is damn sweet lar. @@

I really respect her. A young Japanese who barely speaks Manarin but after working hard for so long, she finally sang well in Mandarin. Cool lar!!!

836. underwear

Joy of the day: My first compliment letter in my current workplace... =)

Ever since dear bought me my first CK underwear, I've turned into a sucker for good and branded underwear but always try to maintain each piece below $30. So, go for those huge sale and grab as much as my wallet and drawer can take. Usually no more than 3 pieces la.

And yes, I'm a super big fan for CK underwear! So nice! So comfortable lar!

Grabs for today at the Isetan private sale. 1 CK @ $19.50. 1 DKNY @ $25.20. 1 2(x)ist @ $10. The 2(x)ist is damn cheap la! But it's the first time I'm buying this brand, so not buying alot of it. What if I don't like leh?

Hmmmmmm... Come to think about it, I always buy underwear during such sale. Haha...

Besides the underwear thingy, as the days drew closer towards the finals, I'm getting more and more excited. Gosh! The guest star is Da Mouth (大嘴巴)!!! I like lar!!!

Also, been doing my mask regime. Monday, Wednesday and Friday is face mask. Tuesday and Thursday is eye mask. Must put a lil more work on my face cause really cannot make it. Haha. And of course, practise practise and more practise.

Eric must gambatte!!!

Anyway, not sure if you had seen this joke before. Let's laugh man!

This guy is Singapore (at that time) most watched sitcom. Pokes fun at the kiasu Singaporeans stereotype by the Ah Beng character. And the funny part is he is actually a Sikh but looks so like a Chinese. Phua Chu Kang (PCK) explaining sex to Chu Beng's son, Aloysius.........

Aloy : Why is making love so enjoyable?

PCK : Aiyah, ah boy, enjolable becaws, same like when you dig your nose with your finger mah!

Aloy : Do you think women enjoy sex more than men?

PCK : Of course woman lah! When you dig dig your nose, your nose feel better than your finger, right?

Aloy : Why do women hate it when they get raped?

PCK : Ai-yah! Say, you walk along the load, den someone come over and dig your nose, you like or not? Ehhh? Don't pray pray ah!

Aloy : Why is it a woman cannot have sex when she is having her menses?

PCK : Oy!! If your nose bleeding, you still go and dig meh?? Siow ah! Use your blain, use your blainnn.........

Aloy : Why is it most men don't like wearing condoms when they are making love?

PCK : Ehhhh, when you dig your nose ah, you like to dig with a glove on your finger or not? Not the same shiok feeling mah. Corlight or not?

Aloy : Why is making love carried out in private?

PCK : Ah boyyyyy, use your blain, use your blainnnnn........................... you go and dig your nose in flont of your whole class izit?? Stupid lah!!

Aloy : Wah...... Uncle Chu Kang, you are very good.

PCK : Aiyah......, 'Best in Singapore, JB, some say Batam, and now, the whole world!' also ah!!!

Right... Haha... Very smart ah? Use digging nose to explain sex. Haha...

835. 未来前景

Rant of the day: Back to work... Sian...

834. signs

Rant of the day: Working on the bubble tea craze for buyers characteristics... Sian...

Saw this from Arina's blog. A simple and short clip about communication directed by Patrick Hughes. It's really meaningful.

Finding meanings in life...

Love is the answer...

833. for those who missed it

Rant of the day: My LS medication got side effect!!!

For those who missed the Y.E.S. 93.3FM Voice Idol (声音偶像) interview, featuring me and another contestant (Xue'er), on Tuesday and wish to listen to it, here it is...

Thanks Joanne. =)

Can hear that I'm still nervous lar. I'm a gan-jiong king!!! Haha...

832. expensive medication

Rant of the day: Sian... On MC again.

Stomach crunching... Viral infection in my gastric system. And yes, the powder mix to kill the virus taste disgusting!!! Seeing doctors now cost a bomb. Just for consultation and 3 different medication cost me more than $50. Siao!

Ok, my laptop is back on track. According to the technician, the problem I'm facing is a known issue. All laptops with the same graphic card and motherboard will face the same problem. Something don't know what "nldvmk..." error message.

So, maybe I should really buy a new laptop. Hmmmmmmm...

Whatever the case is, at least now I can move on with my project. I'm back!

Thursday, March 05, 2009

831. having LS

Joy of the day: I can apply for study leave liao!!!

Dunno why it suddenly happened... LS (lao sai)...

Since afternoon, my stomach had this weird feeling. As if it's twisting like a blender. Was thinking it might be just stomach growling, I sort of didn't tell anyone.

Not sure if I should go work tomorrow. Need to monitor the situation tonight and tomorrow morning.

Anyway, there's a change in the Y.E.S. 93.3FM Voice Idol (声音偶像) finals. Updated details are as follows:

Date: 14 March 2009
Day: Saturday
Time: 4pm
Venue: Bugis Junction, Bugis Square

The only change is the time. If you've got the time to spare, do come and gimme your support!!!

IT Fair is coming. Thinking if I should get a new laptop. I will give serious consideration if I can trade in this Dell XPS and get a brand new laptop with good specs at LOW price. Budget lar. Mr Rice has no money le.

**********

It's our third year anniversary. Baby, I love you. We gotta celebrate this day every year. Even if it's a really budget celebration.

Didn't really got the time to celebrate the day 'cause dear is still rushing her assignment. But I sort of popped by her place and surprised her a lil with a Bakerzin cheese cake.

Hope she's delighted. =)

Watch this.

If it really happens, all plastic surgeons will lose their rice bowl... Haha...

830. laptop issue again

Rant of the day: I'm always tired...

My Dell XPS is giving me problem AGAIN!!! Booting up was fine. Things start to happen after I login to my Vista and after the desktop is still loading. Screen turned black. Blue screen error appears. Screen has pixelised black patches. Auto-restarted. Auto shut down. How to use sia???

LCD test; ok. Screen test; ok. Memory test; ok. Safe mode; ok.

The only good thing about Dell is their helpline service. Very patient and friendly.

So what I can do now is wait... Wait for their local technician to call me to make arrangement for a "home" visit to repair this crap for the second time. And all this is only about a year plus since I bought this laptop!

What is the moral of the story??? Don't buy Dell lar...

*posting this piece took about 30min cause the laptop restarted AGAIN!!!*

829. dancing baby

Question of the day: What's the difference between stress, tension and panic?

Awwwwww... This is totally cute.

So, got the answer to the question of the day?

.

.

.

.

.

Answer: Stress is when wife is pregnant. Tension is when girlfriend is pregnant. Panic is when both are pregnant.

Right... Haha...

828. live on radio

Rant of the day: Emails... Emails... Emails... Can they stop coming in? AHHHHHHH...

So did you hear me on radio just now? Gosh... I ate screws again!!! Nervous but seriously, it was quite exciting. Imagine talking through the mic and letting dunno how many peeps hear my voice! If I can't be a DJ, at least I can bring today's experience with me forever.

At least I can tell my grandchildren that their ah gong got talk in radio once for about 15min. Haha...

Mum managed to record certain segments of the interview and was going through again from mum's handphone just now. Hmmmmmm... At certain point, I do sound a bit like Chong Qing. But than again, the recording quality sucks. Can't hear clearly. So, will need to listen again from Joanne's recording.

Anyway, details for the finals to this Y.E.S. 93.3FM Voice Idol (声音偶像) are as follows:

Date: 14 March 2009
Day: Saturday
Time: 7pm 4pm
Venue: Bugis Junction Square

Do come support me ok?

Hope the rainbow I saw last week is a good sign for me... Cheers!

Just to share a funny stuff circulated in office earlier... The soldier and the nun.

A soldier came to a fork in the road and saw a nun standing there. Out of breath he asked, "Please Sister, may I hide under your skirts for a few minutes. I'll explain WHY later." The nun agreed.

A moment later two Military Police came running along and asked, "Sister, have you seen a soldier running by here?"

The nun replied, "He went that way."

After the MP's disappeared, the soldier crawled out from under her skirt and said, "I can't thank you enough Sister, but you see, I don't want to go to Iraq..."

The nun said, "I think I can fully understand your fear."

The soldier added, "I hope you don't think me rude or impertinent, but you have a great pair of legs!"

The nun replied, "If you had looked a little higher, you would have seen a great pair of balls... I don't want to go to Iraq either."

Haha... Luckily, we do not have to go to Iraq.

827. stagnancy

Rant of the day: Throat still dry...

Sometimes I really appreciate individual assignments. You are your own boss. You manage your own stuff. You answer for nobody else but yourself.

But as long as you are studying or working, individual assignments are unavoidable.

I hate discussions going round and round in circles. It's not going anywhere! Stagnancy. I cannot stand stagnancy for too long. If things ain't moving, I'll go crazy... Stop arguing in circles! Move on please.

826. mind your manners

Rant of the day: My desktop died...

Isn't the weather weird? It was scorching this afternoon and than a sudden downpour washes off all the heat. The switch between the weather is too huge.

Anyway, it's time to bring Deric for a nail cut and also to trim his fur on his paws. But the heavy rain did not make things any better. Had to carry Deric all the way to avoid his getting wet. And gosh, he is VERY heavy! Think about 14kg! That's a lil too heavy for an 8 months old puppy. Ran some errands for him too.

It was supposed to be a relatively happy day till we met this rude driver on our way home.

We were driving on lane 1 (the fastest moving lane) of TPE, moving towards CTE. As dear was driving steadily on the treacherous weather, a silver Nissan Latio from lane 2 suddenly swerved into our lane without any signal!

Naturally reaction, dear had to hit the brake hard enough to avoid hitting into the car. And also, sound horn to warn the driver that the sudden changing lane without signalling was dangerous. We had done nothing wrong right? Everything still law by law.

And out of the sudden, the Latio driver suddenly changed lane ALL the way to lane 3. The furthest lane from us. As we were moving faster than lane 3, we crossed the Latio car. Out of sudden, the Latio driver pointed middle finger at us. This is totally rude!!! And the funniest part is he had a window bind covering his window to avoid us seeing how he look like.

What is wrong with him? Something not too right up in his brain.

To all drivers, please note the following:

Number 1
The road is not own by you. If you are a male and cannot tahan getting honked by a female driver, I suggest you to stay at home and don't step out. Your male ego is too big for the World to handle.

Number 2
If you got the gut to point middle finger, I dare you to show your face. Don't hide behind the bind. Stop being a coward. Why? Afraid that we take photos of you and make an official police report? In our instance, our driver is female and the Latio driver is pointing middle finger to dear. Do you know it is an offense to anyhow point middle finger to a female? Under Penal Code (Chapter 224) Section 509, word or gesture intended to insult the modesty of a woman can bring you imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both.

Number 3
As rumoured, the length of the middle finger to the end of the palm measured to be the length of the male's erected penis. So, erm... think that rude Latio driver should stop pointing middle finger. It doesn't exactly reflect very well of the length of his manhood. Really...

Are you a rude male driver too? It's time to mind your manners on the road.

Our desktop suddenly died. It refuse to run. I really appreciate mum's enthusiasm to wanna vote for me online. But since the desktop is down, there is no need to dwell on it.

It is sometimes very hard to explain technology stuff to parents isn't it? Think brother and I tried explaining so hard why the older backup desktop cannot connect to the Net router that mum got angry because she don't understand what we are trying to explain.

The Internet port is different mum. We cannot change the way the Internet gets routed. It has to go through the wireless router.

*sigh*

What I can do is to search around for a converter port to trying allowing the new wireless router to connect to the old desktop.
