505. winding up wednesday

Rant of the day: I'm busy like a bee...

I've just settled down after unpacking all my stuff after dance class today. I've been really enjoying the MTV lessons every Wednesday evening. It's already my third dance lesson so far and I think I'm really picking up much faster now. Well, at least I don't look like a wooden board hopping around la... Haha.

Dear is also enjoying the lessons but I think she can already proceed to the more difficult classes. As for me, think will still be at the intro classes till I'm better but then again, I think I'm already much better then most of the rest. *proud* Must take into consideration that I've only taken 3 lessons and there was ZERO dancing background prior to all these (unless you want to count my clubbing experiences la).

It's good exercise too! I'm always sweating like a leaking tap after every lesson. It takes a long time till my body cools down so I'm always sweating even after the lessons had ended for quite some time.

Will try to maintain once per week dance schedule until I get a monthly membership. Need to sweat things out.

Apart from dancing, work has more or less settled down. At least I think I'm already quite adapted to the office environment. It's a pretty drastic change in environment for me. But as usual, there's always one or two peps who will really piss you off at work. Just got one today and I almost EXPLODED.

Shan't go into details as he/she/they might be reading this. It's always wise to maintain a good working relationship with all your colleagues and especially when you are totally new.

Oh well, I guess it's office politics life I guess...

There's more work tomorrow and I've just realised that tomorrow will be a freaking busy day! Shucks...

504. 童话、戏剧

Rant of the day: It's a busy busy day.

503. cough cough

Rant of the day: Hate to fall sick...

Woke up this morning with a terrible headache and started coughing non-stop. Felt weak and feverish. At least I'd managed to drag myself up early to the polyclinic. Didn't really want to go that far but because I can have higher medical claims, so might as well.

Reached there at about slightly 5 past 8am and was amazed by the FREAKING queue! I only get to "pre-register" at about 8.15am. The polyclinic now had changed so much. No more the dark, damp and stuffy clinic. On the contrary, I was greeted with bright lights and super cold aircon! Nice. But when I look at the queue number, I almost fainted. Showing on the queue board was 2041 and my number was 2148! There's a sea of patients waiting for their number to be called. Next, there was also a marquee annoucement saying the average waiting time and gosh, on the average, it take more than an hour to see the doctor! I was already coughing my throat out!

But it's cheap to see the doctor at polyclinic. Almost half the price from private clinics. And their medicine are usually more effective, so might as well wait there and enjoy the aircon. Haha.

Just taken the medicine and am already feeling drowsy. Hmmmmm, that's fast.

Since I'm sick, will not be able to accompany dear to gym for this few days but will still continue on my dancing class this Wednesday.

Fiona published this amazing dance video from Japan. Note that they are all kids! Gosh, they are gonna kick some ass!

502. trying and trying

Rant of the day: My flu is getting from bad to worse and the frequency of my coughs just get worse.

Dear finally bought her formal shoes and it fits her small feet perfectly. It's really hard for her to buy shoes especially when her feet are very very small. Most of the time, she couldn't buy those covered leather heels as they never have her size. But this time round, after a helpful staff from Plaza Singapura's Charles and Keith, dear managed to reserve a pair at Causeway Point. It's slightly more expensive but totally worth it.

Made a trip all the way to Vivocity and decided to fully utilise their powerful aircon. It's been a humid and scorching day and we really need those cool air. Plus, I wasn't feeling well, so it will be a good either to stay indoor. Rushed to Pull and Bear as they just started their crazy sale. Remember my red cape jacket which I bought for like $30++? Yup, bought it from there. Some stuff did caught my eye this time round but the price didn't. Grab a few and went queueing up for the fitting rooms.

Went to and fro the fitting rooms for about 3 times and the staff there could prolly recognise me. I was like trying and trying again and again just to make sure that I don't look ridiculous if I wear them out. Tried about 5 tops and 1 bottom and sad to say, I only bought 2 singlets (the green and white strips feature on the centre and another not feature here). Really like the pink tee featured but their tees are never cut for my body. It's either too short or too large. Their berms are nice but too expensive (even though it's on sale) and I can get similar stuff from Bugis Street at a MUCH lower price.

When stepping out Pull and Bear, we saw this funny man "guarding" the entrance. Haha... There's so many kids waiting to grab a shot with him!

Mango is on sale too. And if you think Pull and Bear is crowded, think again... Mango is freaking packed with ladies who will grab anything that comes their way! Dear managed to buy 2 tops (of the same design but different colour) and 1 sweet mini skirt. And that in total cost almost $80! Wasn't it suppose to be a sale? I wonder...

Tried the most expensive laksa I've ever eaten in a foodcourt. It cost $6.90! Ouch! But luckily the taste is quite ok. Still, $6.90 for a bowl of laksa is slightly too costly to price at foodcourt. $5.50 will be a more reasonable price.

501. finally

Rant of the day: I'm having a flu... Ahhhh choooooo...

My IE is getting crankier then ever. Right now, it's working fine all of the sudden! But my Photoshop is not working as due to a system recovery, it now prompts me to do a software activation. Fark! But at least I still have my ImageReady to fall back on. Phew...

Just some updates on recent stuff. Work is more or less settled down. Going to get a hang of a real office environment. It's so quiet everytime before and after lunch hours. At I can hear is either my radio on my right ear or the phone ringing when employers calls to check seminar stuff.

Think it's because of the stupid weather, I'm falling sick. Drank alot of water but doesn't seems to help. Please help to save the Earth. We are all now experiencing effects of global warming and if we don't do anything, all of us might face extinction!

Dear's grandma was admitted to hospital. Hopes she's fine.

Dumpling festival just passed a few days back. Had your share of bah zhang? Mum made quite a few delicious ones and it's nice to see dear and her family enjoying it. Arina too came to have a taste of my mum's cooking that day.

Went to my second dancing lesson at Studio Wu. It was damn fun! At least the instructor was really funny. Sweat the shit out of me. Will be going for another lesson of his on coming Wednesday evening with dear.

Shan't goes on. Meeting dear for lunch and also to collect her shoes from Charles and Keith at Causeway Point. She's got an interview at UOB tomorrow. You can do it dear!

500. problem

Rant of the day: I hate my Internet Explorer!

I'm not sure what happened to my Internet Explorer and I can't use it at all. So, I had no choice but to use Firefox to blog and right now, I'm actually blogging in office. It's lunch time (not for me) but I'm still working as due to some manpower issues today, we had to stagger the lunch time with the temp staffs.

I'm so not use to blog in Firefox.

Shan't go on as it's getting irritating to blog in Firefox. So, my next post might take some time to be published till my Internet Explorer problem is fixed.

499. back home early

Rant of the day: Sianz...

I hate it when things don't go the way I've planned. Shan't go into details.

It's weird to see me blogging at this hour. It's weekend and I should be out with dear but many might had forget that it's Fathers' Day today. So dear had actually bought a cake and got home early. Since I've got nowhere to go, might as well be back home early for a rest (I've been awake since early morning but was a wasted effort) and continue to catch up with Naruto. I've found a site where it can stream animes and movies. So, I'm like some sort of back-tracking to where I'd last stopped.

I'm getting broke now. Simply hate it when I see my savings draining up and my pay will only be crediting in July. Fuk!

498. today

Quote of the day: When we all lie down and look up, not matter how different we are from one and others, we still look at the same sky.

I seriously don't have time to update my blog on weekdays. Busy at work and of course after the entire hectic madness work, I'm either relaxing with dear outside or at home. Tired... I'm really tired...

Sharon was on MC today. Hope she's fine but when today she wasn't around, there's so much stuff I had to prepare by myself. How I hope I've got more than 2 hands! But then again, I'll look like a freak. I wouldn't mind a pair of angel wings though. Heehee...

Friday is a day where everyone in office knocks off early but poor Ramesese and I had to stay back to clear up some unwanted stuff and after an hour off OT, we barely clear half of those rubbish. Crap... Still have to clear up as it's actually taking up my cubicle! It's either we clear up so that we can have more space for our own stuff or let them continue accumulate dust as day goes by. Haha. Somehow, I'm really glad to have Ramesese as my buddy in office. It's good to have him around.

Perhaps after too much work and some other stuff accumulating throughout the entire week, dear and I were beat. So, instead of doing shopping just now, we decided to just slack at Coffee Bean for dinner. Feels so good and damn, their food is simply fantastic!

It's Saturday tomorrow. Gosh, I need that sleep...

497. seminar

Rant of the day: I ate fastfood twice in a day! Fuk!

First day of the seminar. First speaker on the stage. First week at work.

Luckily, all goes smooth and well. At least not too much of hiccups on my side as Brenda (my boss) decided that she'll be doing the Question and Answer Session as I'm too new to do so. It wouldn't be good if I gave wrong information right? My only problem was I spoke too soft and those peps sitting at the back can't hear clearly. Will work on that...

Brenda started to distribute out the work to me and gosh, that's freaking ALOT of work to do! Now I'm really not sure if I'm up to the mark. Suddenly, I felt that my confident level dropped at tremendous speed.

Everyone in office had their pay in except Sharon (who just started work yesterday) and me. I'm so broke right now. Oh gosh... So, I'm trying very very hard to cut down on my expenses this month. Must not bow to temptation in luxurious food and shopping!

I'm damn tired right now. Need to sleep... Good night peps!

496. inconsiderate twerps

Rant of the day: I hate doing self intro...

2 more new colleagues added to our department today and that makes me a 6 days senior. Haha... Well, I think they are easy to hang around with peps. Pretty nice ladies. At least they are NOT "ice-mountain" who refuse to open their golden mouth. I've got pretty BORED sessions with "ice-mountain" beauties. They either have golden mouth which opening them are a chore or they have diamond inside their mouth and are afraid they might drop them.

Anyway, was having a pretty sleepy day at work. What else? The Monday blues and my aching body. Was almost half dozing off and my eye-lids weigh a tonne! As much as I'm trying to sip some water and chew onto some candies to keep myself awake, I'm still sleepy (in fact I'm super sleepy now). Plus, still need to do some rehearsals for this weeks seminar as I'm actually one of the speaker. Sucks!

Sent my dear home and on the way, we saw some really inconsiderate peps. We all know that we can't eat in bus (don't tell me you don't know), but usually if we are munching on those non-heavy smelling food, it's still considered ok.

So what happens was we were boarding the bus service 25 on the upper deck towards dear's place and we saw a couple happily enjoying a box of takopachi. The smell was so strong that from far, we could recognise it almost immediately! I took a stare at them but they doesn't seems to care at all, as if the bus was empty. "Forget it" I thought as it's only 3 balls and it will not take long to finish them.

What happened after that was disgusting! They left together not long after finishing their food and decided to leave a "momento" behind. They stucked the entire empty box with the plastic bag into the small gap between the seat in front of them and the bus side lining! Fuck! It's so INCONSIDERATE! It's such peps on Earth that makes the living environment undesirable. They'll prolly reincarnate into cockroaches in their next life and live in dirty rubbish chute.

I'm simply can't stand such peps. Is the dustbin so difficult to find? Aren't they aware that every bus stops in Singapore has a rubbish bin? Is it a chore to just take their rubbish with them and dump it in the bins since they'll need to alight after all?

*sign*

Oh well, let's just admit that there are twerps everywhere la. Really need to sleep now. Damn tired and I've got seminars to do. Ciaoz!

495. virgin dance class

Quote of the day: Kick ball step... Kick ball step...

A super hot and scorching day and I'm sweating like a running tap since early early morning and I've got only less then 5 hours of sleep last night. Joined dear, Arina and co for their Anlene Orchard Mile walk/run early this morning at Dhoby Ghaut. Was actually there to look after dear and Arina's barang barang.

Reached the place at about 8am and it's already filled with enthusiastic ladies who can't wait to conquer the road. It's not a problem for dear since it's merely 1.6km. Think all that running-like-hamster in gym works.

Dear and Arina strike a pose before kicking of the run. I was actually sweating quite badly while helping them taking the pictures.

Look at the crowd. It reminds me of the Newpaper Big Walk.

So, since I'm not joining them for the run, might as well enjoy my tea at McDonalds while looking after the barang barang. 2 cups of them (since it's refillable) makes my day.

After all the wait, went for my virgin dance class with dear and Fiona. Ok, I'm TOTALLY new to such stuff and I think I look damn funny while learning the steps. Haha... But I'm chill with it. Who doesn't look funny in their first few dance lessons right? Anyway, the hip hop warm up is enough to make me sweat like there's no tomorrow. After the lesson ended, my underwear was totally drenched. But I think it's really a fantastic to work out and it's damn fun!

Move with the groove baby... Gimme attitude!

Lesson ended with bad tummy muscle aches and backaches. My thighs are still ok but a lil aching. Hope it doesn't go worse tomorrow morning. I've still got work to do.

I can't take it peps. Really need to catch some sleep now. Nites!

494. where is the law and order?

Quote of the day: 男人不坏,女人不爱。那女人坏坏,男人会爱吗?

Sometimes, we really need to give some credits for our home team with keeping the law and justice in place. Only today through Y.E.S 93.3FM then I know that our dear Miss Paris served only 3 days out of her 45 days jail terms! She was being reassigned to house arrest instead. I'm sooooooo "impressed" by their level of law and order. Claims was medical reason for the reassigning. What crap?!? Just serve your time la Miss Paris...

Just another spoilt brat corrupting the minds of young ones... Read TMZ.com for more such celebrity news.

All I know at this moment is that I'm so tired... My eye-lids can hardly kept open... *yawn* There is such a high possibility of me becoming one of the speakers for a seminar next week. Shucks! I'm barely "a week old" staff and they wants me to do the presentation? You've gotta be kidding me...

493. a day at work

Rant of the day: Sleepy... Weekend please come quick...

Hansel came back from the States without informing anyone. Gave me a surprise call a few days back while I'm at work. It's so nice to hear his voice once more. Tried sms-ing him to get him out but no reply though. Guess his prepaid card went flat. Haha... So if you are reading this Hansel, contact me when I'm not working. I'm more of office hour now. No more shitty shift work now!

I'm still learning at work. Good thing is all are very helpful to teach. Well, there's nothing to lose when there's an extra helping hand right? Bad thing is, there seems to be no proper work training to things like system and work procedures. All are to be learnt on the job itself. Quite dangerous in certain ways as might screw up some stuff. It's also nice that I've managed to find a couple of buddies at work. They are really fantastic peps!

Tomorrow's gonna be a busy day at work. Alot of roll-over work to clear tomorrow and also another learning day at the seminar's dry run. Tired...

I'm actually very very impress with the organisation I'm working at. They actually made every Thursday a FREE FRUIT day! And in the early morning, there's actually a broadcast over the entire building to urge all staff to stand up from the chairs and start some basic exercises which doesn't consume alot of space. And just about a few minutes before I knocked off, there was actually this large group of aunties doing some exercises. Guess it's Stay Healthy Day every Thursday. Nice...

Met up with dear just now for a lil shopping at Bugis. Guess what? We bought a couple bag! Haha. Her's is black while mine is white. Quite cool actually and it's pretty cheap! It's like 2 for $40! Ok, will use it tomorrow to work. It's Friday and which means it's dress down day! Woohoo...

Off to pack my stuff for tomorrow and then a good night sleep. Nitez peps...

492. late updates

Rant of the day: I've got so much to study...

Haven't been updating. Miss me? I'm really so sorry. Haven't got the time to really sit down and blog even though I've got alot of things to write about.

Just a late photo of the poly class gathering held not long ago.

About Shrek 3, all I can say is I love animations so much and I can't get enough of it! Ok, I'm just an over-grown kid perhaps. Was previously arranged to go with dear, Angela and Likeng but due to some last minute flying of kite, there were some changes to the group. Angela wasn't feeling well and Logan decided to come instead. But then again, he fell asleep half-way through. Whereas for me, my eyes were glued to the screen.

Somehow, there wasn't much of new stuff to feed the hungry fans. Many of the jokes were previously used in the first 2 series. But then again, they are still funny. Things like the swopping of bodies of Puss and Donkey, Snow White having a tattoo and the almost gay Prince Charming doing his stuff still pokes fun into many viewers. So, do catch this movie (but only if you somehow like animations, else, fall asleep like Logan).

Dear and I decided to show our support by acting cute with the Shrek ears we bought at MacDonalds. All for a good cost too!

Everything about me was green that day, even my candy. Haha...

We had sushi for dinner but forgot to snap photos of the spread that day. So we end up snapping photos of ourselves with dear's new camera!

Met up with Arina for coffee later in the night after she'd knocked off. Somehow, I really need caffeine with my new job now.

So much for updates. Had already started work. I'm so tired. There's so much things I need to learn and study. Best part about this is there is no proper product training after so long. I'm actually getting a lil worried that I might not be able to perform in the job. Gimme luck peps...

491. gifts

Note of the day: Feeling stressed? You should take some desserts because when you spell stressed backwards, you get desserts. So, it's meant for de-stress... Haha...

Simply dislike doing pre-employment medical checkups. Not because the staffs are unfriendly but rather the wait is horrible. It took me 2 hours to complete and it's just basic tests to be done. Well, at least it's free medical checkup. Haha.

Saw Huang Biren while I was waiting for the lift at the medical centre with mum. She's really elegant, skinny and TALL! She seems pretty much in her own thoughts so let's not kah jiao her even though mum a big fan of her dramas.

Mum insist on getting me a new bag for my new job. Gosh, men's bags ain't cheap! We looked around for quite a while and hated the service at Isetan Shaw House. We were looking at the bags from Braun Buffel when mum commented that the prices are pretty steep. Cost at least $400++ for a simple leather bag. The sales lady dropped a cheap-shoppers look at us and tell us no discount for those models and to look at other brands instead. What the fuck? She really think that I can't afford that $600 meh? Oh please, I can buy all the bags off that pathetic shelf at one go! She's not going to earn a penny from us. So we left in a huff to other malls.

Went all the way back to AMK Hub at decided to pay the Goldlion a visit. We were immediately greeted by smiles and much assistance. Really good explanation on every details of the bag that were looking at. Even after when we told her we need to look around first before deciding, she even say "no problem" with a huge smile on her. That's what we call excellent service and we really need those in Singapore. So after some consideration and comparison with other stores, we went back and got the bag from the nice lady.

Not bad actually. Even though it's not full leather but it's designed for both formal and casual occasions. Something really suits my age and style. Love the contrast between the white threads and the black leather strap. It's interior was well sewn with tough fabric for the outgoing men. Actually it caught my attention when we were at Isetan earlier on. Haha...

We also bought a pair of cufflinks together with the bag. My first pair of nice cufflinks. Cool right? Though not really eye-catching but needed a versatile pair for my 2 different top.

Thanks mum for the bag and cufflinks. I love them!

It's Shrek 3 tomorrow with dear, Angela and Likeng. Oh I can't wait! Dear and I got some special ideas for tomorrow. Haha...

490. down the memory lane

Rant of the day: The PC Show is freaking crowded! It's so warm that I'm almost cooked alive in the exhibition hall.

Class gathering always brings back memories. Glad that most turned up accept that few who decided to "pang seh" me the last minute. Well, at least 8 of us were there on Wednesday. So sorry peps, photo is not ready at the moment. I'm still waiting for either Alvin or Mengqing to send me and once I've have it, I'll try to post it up asap. And yes Alvin, I do read your blog. Hee...

Such gatherings never fail to bring back wonderful memories. 17 back then and now 24. It's been years and some things never change. Elaine is still forever the funny blur lady. Exclaimed "Oh no. I ordered wrong again..." when her main course was brought to her. Alan is still the gadget man. Karen is always having the love for FOOD. Mengqing is always all out to suan me. Suyee is still her accompliance. Alvin is still so gentlemanly. Huiying still as chirpy. Am I still the same old Eric?

Still remember the old basketball days DURING night lectures. Still remember skipping database management lectures for movies or CS at Ang Mo Kio Central. Still remember late night projects in school. Still remember all the class chalets where some puked after bad alcohol influences. Still remember our own remedial lessons conducted within ourselves. Still remember the singing auditions in school with those lousy panel of judges.

It's like taking a path down the memory lane once more...

Gosh, I miss those days and I definitely miss the fantastic peps.

And about today, dear finally bought her digital camera at the PC Show in Suntec. It's so nice and I'm also tempted to buy one myself but most prolly will be getting a laptop first. But it's such a great bargain for dear's purchase (only dear will know what I meant). Panasonic Lumix FX30. It comes with really cool quality and features. Nice...
