Joy of the day: A new year. A smooth start (I hope)...
Chinese New Year Eve is a good day at work. Most are working half day and so am I. Call volume is pretty low and clear most of my work.
A shot before we handover the helpline to the afternoon shift colleagues. Hope afternoon shift will be smooth.
Dear left for Taiwan with her family for a holiday this late morning till early afternoon while I'm still at work. Don't have the chance to see her off at airport... I miss her soooooo badly. Hope she's fine and enjoying totally over there. She rarely have the chance to go overseas. It's very cold at Taiwan and hope that she had brought enough clothes. Hope her medication is enough as she wasn't feeling well.
Back at home, helped mum to change a new set of sofa cover. Love the contrast of black and red. But it's alot of effort to change the covers. Definitely no easy feat for us at least.
Goodies galore over the table! Not sure how to finish them though. Pineapple tarts, checked. Bak kwa, checked. Mandarin oranges, checked. And lots more!
This year's steamboat reunion dinner is slightly different. Instead of the conventional chicken broth, mum decide to go for a total change and replaced it with soupy porridge instead. It is delicious! The essence of everything in one big pot of porridge. Yummilicious...
So, happy Lunar New Year everyone!
