612. open letter

Rant of the day: The management are a group of suckers and fuckers. They suck up the higher management and fuck up the rest of the staff.

Dear totally-fucked-up officer

Thank you for the 15 minutes grilling session before my knock off time. It's been an honour to have a chance to listen to all your rubbish. The session had been intriguing and enlightening even though whatever that was coming out from your mouth filth the air and stained my ears.

First and foremost, pertaining to your persistent enquiry on why we did not report to you after our course today, we thought it was an arrangement that our primary task is to answer the fucking helpline and clear the queue call as fast as we can? If my memory didn't fails me, there was NO arrangement by YOU that we are to report to you after our course. Perhaps just to remind you that our course officially ends at 5pm. I'm early and decided to came back office to help out with the helpline mind you.

Should you have any arrangement in mind, we would prefer to be informed early like the rest of the working adults in the society. Similarly to the previous lunch arrangement that you had totally forgot about Isaac and I. We had to lunch at 2pm because you had overlooked the fact that we are also made of flesh and blood and requires proper intake of daily nutrients. Maybe we should appreciate that you see us as man of steel and does not require food as fuel for our body.

Secondly, on the voicemail issue, we have to apologise sincerely because we didn't realised that callers would call in the moment we login to the helpline at 8am. Unfortunately, the calls that kept waiting on the queue wouldn't stop. As a responsible and professional helpline agent, we thought that our basic responsibilities should be minimizing the waiting time for the callers, instead of doing other things like checking out how many voicemails are there in the mailbox. But obviously, you think otherwise. Perhaps it's time for us to "learn" your trend of thinking, which might make us as "successful" as you in 10 years time.

It seems like you have totally no idea how a frontline agent works in our daily routine. You don't know frontline at all. Please follow up by dropping that "high" status of yours and take some time to learn our work. We will definitely welcome to guide you along the way.

Thirdly, perhaps just on why the voicemail wasn't retrieved since 11th, just a gentle reminder for you that you had created a spreadsheet yourself on our leave forecast. Please take a closer look that I was on leave on 11th, 12th and 15th. And on 13th and 14th, please try to use that tiny brain of yours to recall that I was assigned to complete the website revamp issues. By the time I was able to login to the helpline, it was already 18th and calls just kept rushing in non-stop since 8am.

Your attempt to look for a scapegoat is obvious and devious. Your statements like "Who is suppose to..." and "Are you sure it wasn't you?" are so old school. It is seriously time for you to take up courses on staff management or intellectual communication as you cannot relate properly. Sometimes, we all have to upgrade ourselves. Like what our director had previously told my buddy (who had left the organisation because of the "wonderful" management) to read up some books on understanding people, perhaps you can do likewise.

Lastly, we will love to inform you that raising your voice on me in front of the branch does not embarrass me. It will only make you look like a monkey as it goes to show how fastastic your management skills are. Please also take note that when we kept quiet and let you do the talking, is because we cannot be bothered with you anymore. But please do not take this advantage to take your frustration out on us as be warned that I am not to be trifled with. When things take on a sharp and extreme turn, I will have no choice to take extreme measures too.

Here, I shall end my letter for you. Thank you for your time again today for that wonderful grilling session.

Regards
Rice
